The first time it happened, it was because they were both exhausted. It had been a hard case and they had worked for days straight. It just happened and when it was over they had looked at each other sheepishly and then went about their day, never mentioning it again.

The second time it was a hug that started it. One of his damn guy hugs. She was upset about her father and his arms were around her. He was so soft and warm and then it happened.

The third and fourth times were no accident and after the fifth, they had a talk in her office. He admitted that he liked it, liked it a lot while she said it could never happen again.

Despite saying this, she had the urge to run her fingers through his hair and pet down the pieces that were sticking up everywhere, clear evidence of their activities. Not that she looked much better; her clothes were wrinkled and her hair was mussed and she couldn't imagine what someone would say if they saw her in this state.

But they decided to remain professional, so they shook hands and went their separate ways.

A week and a half went by before they cracked, the secret glances and random touching becoming too much. And so they did it again, in her office of course, when everyone had gone home.

Sometime later, a squeal caused Brennan to open her eyes.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!!"

She rubbed her eyes. "Angela, what?" she asked, suddenly realizing where she was and more important what position she was in.

"I didn't….we didn't….I…" she stammered, looking into the questioning eyes of her team. It didn't help that Booth was still dead to the world beside her.

"You're napping." Zach observed. "With Agent Booth."

"It's not what it looks like." She said, frantically trying to get herself out of Booth's embrace. "It was just this one time, well not this one time but really only five or six incidents and the cases and…" she trailed off, tugging harder at Booth's arms.

"Mmmmm, few more minutes Temperance." Booth said, rolling slightly and burying his face in her neck.

Angela's eyes went as wide as saucers.

"Booth! Booth!" Brennan shouted.

"What?" He replied grouchily. "Geez, Bones, why don't you…." He trailed off as she saw the squints. Trying to avoid their piercing gaze he looked down, only to realize that his arms were full ensconced around Brennan's waist.

As if burnt, he withdrew his hands immediately. He scrambled away from her, causing her to fall off the couch and land with a bump.

"Owww, Booth…" Brennan said.

"Sorry." He replied, reaching for her hand and helping her onto the couch.

"So look…" he started. "It was nothing, just a nap. It didn't mean…I mean…" He got up and moved past the squints. "I'm going to go. I'll call if we have a case, okay?" he said, getting flustered. Giving a quick wave, he headed out the door.

The three squints who were focused on Booth's exit, now whipped their heads back around to look at her.

"What?" she said defensively. "Don't you have work to do or places to be?"

"Alright, shows over boys!" Angela said as she ushered them out of the office.

Brennan sighed in relief and made her way over to her desk, hoping that a few hours of work would put the whole embarrassing incident behind her.

"Um, sweetie?" Angela said, popping her head back in the door. "You know when I said that you should sleep with Booth I meant sex right?"

"Angela!!"

"What, Bren, I'm just saying!" Angela said, giving her a wink and heading out the door.

Brennan just shook her head and turned to her computer. But despite the embarrassment of the situation she had to admit, it was the best sleep that she ever had.
