Epilogue – The Hogwarts Express:
"I can't believe I took off work for this," mumbled Lily as her husband led her towards the infamous Platform 9 ¾. Her long blonde hair was tied in a tight bun at the peace of her neck and her glasses were crooked from her husband dragging her throughout Kings Cross Station.
"Oh Mrs. Weasley," her husband teased, his own fiery red hair and beard graying considerably, "you know you love this. Besides, I think the Auror Department can do without you for one day." After retiring as the Mistress of Magic, Lily had become Head of the Auror Department. She no longer worked the field, but had a comfortable desk job so that she could be home often to raise her children, no matter how old they got.
"Ed, they don't want us here," said Lily rolling her eyes. "We just embarrass them."
"Isn't that supposed to be the fun part of being a parent?" asked Eddie, playfully. "To embarrass our kids?"
"Good point," said Lily. "Okay, let's go"
With that, they charged through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10 and waited patiently for the Hogwarts Express to arrive. Once it did, they looked eagerly for their children, finishing up another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. No matter how often Lily and Eddie teased one another about their children, the fact of the matter was, they missed them terribly.
The first one off the train was their youngest child, their daughter, Hermione Fleur Weasley. She was definitely the quiet, shy one out of their children, which they were quite thankful for sometimes. Despite her fiery red hair and emerald green eyes, Hermione took after her namesake, burying herself in books, stories, and studying. One of her goals in life was to be made Prefect and then Head Girl. She had just finished her first year at Hogwarts as a proud Gryffindor.
"Mum!" she cried out when she caught sight of her parents. "Dad!"
"'Mione!" Eddie cried out, enveloping his youngest daughter into a hug. Followed closely behind Hermione was their next youngest child, finishing up her third year at Hogwarts, Ginevra Lillian Weasley. Ginevra, with her blonde hair and bright green eyes that pierced you, took after both of her namesakes. She was fierce, protective, and cursed anyone who crossed her the wrong way. And the person she was most protective of was her younger sister.
"Hi mum, dad," she said with a nod. "I'm so bloody ready for summer."
"Gin, please watch your language," said Lily, tirelessly. "Where are your brothers and sister?"
"I'm sure Sirius and Harry are trying to get one more detention before the summer starts," said Ginevra sarcastically, "and I'd put money on Robby snogging some Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff."
"Ginevra!"
"You asked!" said Ginerva defensively. "Come on, 'Mione, let's meet them all outside." Taking her younger sister's hand, Ginevra led Hermione out towards the Muggle world while Lily and Eddie impatiently waited for their three remaining children.
Sirius and Harry Ronald Weasley were finishing their fourth year at Hogwarts: twins who strongly took after the original Weasley twins, Fred and George. They were mischievous, intelligent, funny, and constantly causing trouble. Lily often claimed that they were the cause of Eddie's gray hairs. However, despite Sirius and Harry being twins, they looked nothing alike with the exception of their eyes. Sirius had flawless skin and flaming red hair that he kept short and Harry had his mother's golden locks, which he kept wavy, long, and teasingly in his bright green eyes and freckles scattered across his face.
Then there was their eldest child, Robyn Andrea, named after their late friend Robyn Andrews, who had been murdered by Lord Voldemort in their seventh year at Hogwarts. Robyn was finishing her sixth year at Hogwarts and had taken after her biological grandmother; she had the veela gene and strongly used it to her advantage. Robyn was outrageously beautiful with strawberry blonde hair, flawless skin, and wide, doe-eyed emerald green eyes. This, along with her flirtatious demeanor, made her extremely popular with the opposite gender. However, she also took after her other biological grandmother was Robyn was extremely studious and was made Prefect the year before. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that she would be made Head Girl next year.
There were a lot of things that both Lily and Eddie kept from their children, such as the power of Eyeluta as there was no need for it at this time. But most importantly, they kept the fact that Robyn, Sirius, Harry, Ginevra, and Hermione were all their Heirs of Gryffindor and Merlin. Both Lily and Eddie felt it was not necessary, as it would probably only bring trouble. If the topic every came up, they would obviously tell their children the truth, but it never did. Again, it was not necessary.
Once all of their five children had gotten off the train, Lily and Eddie took their large family home in Godric's Hollow where everything started and would hopefully never end.
As the family sat down for dinner, Lily and Eddie caught each other's eye from across the table and shared a secret grin that they had always saved, just for one another. Love had conquered that 'different kind of love' feeling and she was back where she belonged; with her best friend.
Lily Julia Potter, daughter of the famous Harry Potter, Heir of Gryffindor and Merlin, had finally gotten the normal she had always wanted.
The End
And I feel
All the faint morning light
Filled with hope
Cause you're here in my life
And we've gone
From the edge of our souls
Made it back to a place we call home
You…see me through
I was alone in the dark
And the fear was my truth
Yeah all the things that you are
Beautifully broken, alive in my heart
And know that you are everything
Let your heart sing and tonight
We'll light up the stars
All that you are
I feel wrong
I'm so human and flawed
I'll break down even though I'm still strong
And time…will make fools of us all
Build us up and then laugh when we fall
You…pull me through
When I'm alone in the dark
And the fear is my truth
Yeah all the things that you are
Beautifully broken, alive in my heart
And know that you are everything
Let your heart sing and tonight
We'll light up the stars
All that you are
You're the sound of redemption
The faith that I've lost
The answer I'm seeking
No matter the cost
You opened the window
Now I can see
You taught me forgiveness
By giving your love back to me
Yeah all the things that you are
Beautifully broken, alive in my heart
And know that you are everything
Let your heart sing and tonight
Yeah all the things that you are
Beautifully broken, alive in my heart
And know that you are everything
Let your heart sing and tonight
Let your heart sing and tonight
We'll light up the stars
All that you are
Oh, I feel, all the faint morning light
Filled with hope because you're here in my life
