"Derek!" Casey whined.

"What do you want." He moaned it was three in the morning.

"Derek wake up." she begged, maybe she was sleep walking.

"No go away!" He shouted throwing a pillow at her, why was she in his room.

"Please I had a bad dream." she said shaking him. Derek was annoyed now what was up with the five year old act?

"Casey go away your acting like a your five." He said.

"Alright would you rather me act like this?" she asked putting on her 'you will do what I want' voice.

"No, go back to bed."

"I'm hungry." she complained.

"Then go eat!" he was wide awake now, how did she do that?

"I want macaroni." she said sitting on his bed and pouting.

"What!?" Derek said sitting up angrily, "you woke me up because you want macaroni?" She nodded happily, "Do you have any idea what time it is?"

"Derek please." she begged again.

"No!" he yelled falling back onto his bed. Derek thought he felt her get up so he rolled over into his preferred sleeping position, big mistake. He opened his eyes and there was Casey barely an inch away from him.

"Please Derek." she breathed, wow was she immune to morning breath?

"Fine." he groaned how did she do that.

"Yay thank you!" she said hopping up happily. Derek got out of bed and walked groggily to the kitchen Casey followed. He poured water into a pot and let it boil, the entire time Casey sat on one of the barstools swinging her feet and watching him interestedly. He poured the noodles into the boiling water and looked up at Casey she was smiling victoriously at him, he smirked back and threw in the cheese. He grabbed her a plate spooned in some of the mac&cheese and put the plate in front of her.

"Happy now." He asked.

"Very thank you." she smiled and began to eat, he watched her happily, "did you really have a dream?"

"Yes I did but it wasn't bad." she said looking up thoughtfully, then smiled.

"What was it about?" Derek pried.

"Sorry not yet." She said shaking her head.

"What do you mean?" He asked angrily, she had woken him up at three in the morning she could at least tell him why.

"I'll tell you some other time, promise." she said putting her plate in the sink and begging to clean up.

"Alright, well if the princess is happy now may her lowly serf go to bed?" Derek asked even though he wasn't tired anymore.

"Go to bed already," she said with a laugh. Derek left the kitchen and lumbered up the stairs, "Your definitely not a serf Derek, more like knight." He heard her call as he was halfway up the steps, Derek couldn't help but smile, how did she do that?
