Epilogue

Bulma sat with baby Pan in her arms, her first grandchild. A little miniature of her long dead friend Chi-Chi. She was holding her grandchild for the first time. It was such a happy occasion, unlike the first time she held her son. She smiled at her eldest as he fussed over his wife. Making sure she had something to eat, getting some sleep while she had this moment of peace. She knew that in the afterlife Chi-Chi was cheering about the birth of her first grandchild. Goku was probablyu boasting about Pan to all the Kai's.

So much had happened in the last twenty five years. Not every moment had been happy, thankfully majority of it had been. Even though she and Yamcha where no longer together, she felt closer to him now then when they where dating. The baseball player now had a family of his own with Compass. He was enjoying raising his own child instead. He was thankful for the experience he had helping to raise Gohan. The experience he'd gained had been helpful when he started raising his own child. He was forever grateful that he was allowed to adopt Gohan, even though it was later on.

Vegeta had mellowed slightly during his time on Earth. The saiyan warrior prince was enjoying being a father to Trunks. Teaching his son how to fight andd teaching him about the long though dead Saiyan race. He'd step down from his rightful throne on planet Fruiche. The position had been handed to his daughter Fruiche who gladly accepted. She still visited Earth to see her family and Erasa. It wasn't as often as previously, everyone had gone their own directions in the last few years. She'd been in a relationship with Paris for the last few years much to Vegeta's disgust. He didn't think that someone who couldn't turn super saiyan was worthy for his daughter. Gohan hadn't like Paris at first; but once he realised the pure blood didn't mean any harm to his step sister, he was fine with their relationship. Gohan and Paris didn't talk much, they simply didn't have many common interests.

Goten still call her aunty Bulma. Even though he'd been here for almost a decade he was still getting used to the planet. Slowly learning how to control his strength. Learning what it truly meant to be alive. He adored his new big family. Of course he often miss his parents and the small planet he was raised on. What child wouldn't miss the home family. Any time Goten miss his Goku and Chi-Chi, Trunks would think up a way to cheer up his friend. Goten was always easy to cheer up. Both boys where doing well and where both attending the same school. Goten was also the first out of the two boys to get a girlfriend. A young polite girl who seemed to bring out the best in him. Trunks was still single though Bulma knew that he had a big crush on Marron. Snow-Flakes who liked her son and made it pretty obvious what her feelings where towards the half saiyan boy. He was torn between what he should do since he didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Yamcha's stepson Sharpener, close friend of Gohan and Videl, had taken in his father's children after he finished collage and had a stable job. He'd found out about them being put into the fostering system. He wanted to show them that even if their father didn't care about them, that someone did truly care about their wellbeing. His young sister who'd always loved Sharpener was happy to move in with her oldest brother. The others warmed up to him eventually. She'd become fast friends with Snow-Flakes and it wasn't long before people outside of the family and close friends didn't know that the two girls weren't actually sisters. Sharpener was still seeing Erasa who had become a bank teller attendant. The Z Gang found ironic considering her mother's former profession. Everyone hinted to the pair about marriage, but at this stage they where against the idea. She didn't blame them, at the same point with her relationship with Yamcha she'd been against marriage. She didn't know what the future had in store for the pair. If they stayed together or separated was completely up to them.

Gohan was still at university studying to be a doctor. He was taking his time with his studies. He didn't plan to rush university considering his other responsibilities. He was learning from his grandfather about how to run the kingdom, taking on more responsibilities each year. Not many people outside of the Ox Kingdom knew that he was a prince. Many struggled to attend to the duties of crowned prince or princess, let alone extra study. Her once shy boy had a natural flair with people, balancing his studies and personal life with ease. He had once again taken up a minor position in his gaming department at Capsule Corp. He mostly released games he made for Goten and Trunks. His younger brothers loved the games. The citizens of the Ox Kingdom loved him and knew they were in safe hands; his department looked up to him and had great respect for him. Videl and Gohan had made the decision not to tell Pan that she was Princess and second in line for the throne. Goten unfortunately didn't count as a legal heir since Chi-Chi was dead when he was born. Even though Gohan grew up knowing he was prince, he wanted his daughter to have as normal life as possible. It would be hard for Pan. Both her parents where famous, all her grandparents where famous, she was part alien and belong to three very wealthy families.

Videl was still deciding whether she wanted to stay at home fulltime with Pan or if she wanted to go back to work. Being a police officer had been her long time dream, ever since she was a child. She had plenty of time to decide what she was going to do. For the moment Videl was beaming with joy whenever she looked at her baby girls face.

"I think it's time I handed you back to your daddy." Bulma smiled as she handed her grandchild back to her son. She observed as Gohan smiled at Pan. Her baby now had a baby of his own. The last twenty five years raising her son had been worth it. She hoped that her own son would enjoy a very long life of raising Pan and any other children the he and Videl might have. She missed having her eldest son and Fruiche around the house. Her home was far from empty even without the oldest to. Bulma still had a long time of parenthood left. Trunks and Goten where both in high school. The most exciting, she'd recently found out she was pregnant. The pregnancy was unplanned and the last thing she expected to do at her age. Unplanned as her current pregnancy was, it had been a pleasant surprise. Parenthood was something she found she enjoyed more than she ever. The scientist was looking forward to becoming a mother again to what would be her last child.

"I love you mum and everything you have ever done for me." Gohan told his mother with a big smile.

"I love you too Gohan." Bulma beamed at her son. "Adopting you was the best decision that I ever made and wouldn't change a thing."

Authors Note: And this is the end of Life Changing Moments. It's been over seven years since I started writing this story. Seven years next month for the post date. It was the first fanfic I ever posted. I started writing in a little hotel room I stayed in for four months while working away from home. I didn't have internet connection during those four months to read fanfiction, so decided to write my own. Reading back the story has so many mistakes and things I would do different. I'm still trying to work out where I mucked up my chapter numbering, it's out by one. The epilogue I complete approximately two years ago, tweaked every now and again when I changed things leading up to the end.

Thankyou everyone who has read, faved, alerted, reviewed. I have 206 reviews at the time of posting. I never thought I'd get past 10 reviews and here I am at over 200 and I enjoyed reading every one of them.

I'm sad to be ending this story, but at the same time excited to finally be added it to my completed pile.

Authors Note 17/8/15: I've been slowly going through Life Changing Moments removing old authors notes and correcting paragraphing from an old site issue which removed line breaks which I used to use for paragraph breaks.

You can find the sequel/alternate timeline story on my profile under the name Life Changing Moments: A Dimension Travellers Story.

I've had the alternate timeline story posted in the past under A Time Travellers Tail. This was removed from my profile when I decided to turn it into a sequel as well as a side story.
