A/N: Alright, I'm probably gonna get crucified for this, but I'm going to state this clearly for the record, for ALL to see:

I AM SICK OF JIM/PAM.

There. I said it. Need me to say it again?

I'm sorry folks, but I am. They are a great couple and they DO belong together, and I love Jim to death, but COME OOOOON!!! There are at LEAST thirteen other people in that office that need our love! True, Dwangela is second place in the number of fics about them, and that's fine (as I loves me some Dwight). However, you will probably never see me write about them. EVER.

For you see, my favorite character in the whole wide world is Michael Scott.

Yup. I've fallen hard for the boss.

It's not my fault he's hilarious and Steve Carrel is so darn cute!! Poor Mikey does NOT have enough love, and I intend to bring him some.

So, without further ado, MY FANFIC!!

-----

"I love you."

Three simple, beautiful words.

She didn't know when it had started, or even why. It was something in the way he looked at her; a small, pleading look, like a lost child searching for his mother.

He needed to be protected.

She wanted to protect.

She wished she knew why she wanted him so bad. He was totally wrong for her, wrong in so many ways. He was immature, self-absorbed, rude, callous on many occasions, inappropriate, and just….

Just so child-like.

She had tried to pass off her attraction to him as mere fantasy; After all, she had just gone through a messy break-up. Was she really so desperate that she would lower herself to his level?

Or was her level just too high?

He was sweet. He WAS. And amazingly understanding at times. He did truly care for everyone and everything they were going through (with the exception of Toby). And the way he looked at her, PLEADING for someone to hold him….

Tell him everything would be alright….

Just like a child.

It went beyond every feeling she had ever had for a man before. Uncharted territories. It was more than a sex drive. It was more than just a physical thing.

He completed a part of her she didn't know she had.

And as Pam watched Michael walk back to his office, she smiled slightly to herself.

She loved him.

Purely.
