Sixteen-year-old April walked across her yard and bent down to bury a few cigarette butts in the little corner of the garden that was completely dead- no weeds, no sprouts, no signs of life. It was a quiet summer day, and there was nothing to do, so April chose to stare at the clouds and daydream.

She let her thoughts stray, even towards the most random subjects. By now, she was laying on the grass, her legs crossed and her arms folded behind her head. Looking at herself, she marveled at the beauty of her freshly-shaven legs. Apparently, she wasn't the only one to think so.

"Hey there sexayyyyy," slurred the voice of someone. "What'cha-doin'?" April sat up and began to look for whoever had said that. To her surprise, it was her fourteen-year-old neighbor Mark Cohen. He stumbled across the yard, and collapsed next to her. April let her head sink back down to the ground, and turned to smirk at her neighbor.

"First time drinking, Cohen?" At this question, he looked at her with wide eyes.

"Don't tell Mommm…"

April smirked again. This kid was too cute.

"I won't, Cohen, I won't."
