Addiction

Written by Purpleblush017

You didn't know when or how it started, or even where it happened. But most addictions start out that way, you thought.

Before you could bat an eyelash, she suddenly appeared in your life, right before your very eyes. She came. She appeared as a a kid who was the samee age as yours. She came as your classmate. She came as a part of a three-man team you were also in.

And she she came with the intention of knocking your walls down.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You didn't care for it that much at the beginning. She was a nuisance in your eyes, you told yourself. She was just another crazy fan girl who adores your gorgeous features, courtesy of the Uchiha blood running through your veins, passed on by your wonderful mother. It borderline amused you that she even loves your angsty side, which you acquired from your brooding father. But she stopped at nothing. If she can't walk nor crawl to get under your thick and cold skin, she always found another way to sneak herself in.

And then you found that annoying.

You thought she was annoying.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You always wondered as to why she kept coming back when you kept telling her to go away. Ironic, you called it. She flashed that big and disbelievingly very bright and annoyingly happy smile of hers at you after labeling her 'weak'. She gave you things that you don't even remember asking for. You tried to brush her off, telling her cruel, mean and rude words just so that she would leave you at peace.

But at the end of the day, even though she's not around, you were still annoyed. You were the one who got all worked up by just thinking about her and her stupidity.

Yes. You now called her stupid.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

It suddenly became habitual. You knew because whenever you didn't hear her talk, her voice will echo—ringing again and again inside your head. When she was not around, you start to hallucinate that she's right there pestering you. Sometimes, her touch lingered upon your skin piercing through you, awakening your senses. Worst, she haunted you in your sleep, leaving you wide-awake from a romantic dream of you and her—holding hands or kissing one another under the moon—which for you was a full-blown nightmare. It became official. Day or night, she silently tortured your mind and body.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

At rare times, you found her amusing and you allowed her to penetrate the slightest bit of pleasure she offered. You drank one-eight of the happiness she gave. Because you know you didn't need the whole thing. Revenge was the only thing you wanted. Power was your only salvation. She did not matter to you. Hell, you didn't even care about her. She was just a fellow citizen, a team mate and a fellow Konoha ninja. You thought you could go on and forget she ever existed.

And then you left in search of power. Of course she was there to stop you. She even begged you to take her with you. You didn't. But you thanked her. You knew she had no role in the dark path you chose. She did not belong there, you said to yourself. So you knocked her out cold and you gently put her down in a cold bench, feeling grateful her for everything she has done for you and oddly wishing her happiness.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You missed her. And you'd kill yourself before you even admitted it, you said. But nonetheless, you returned. You went home after embarking the vengeful part of your life. When you saw her, the only words that came out of your mouth were insults. Instead of smacking you square in the face, she smiled at you. Just like always, she didn't care for your rudeness. She welcomed you back with open arms. She stayed beside you, protecting you from the hurtful words of those who deemed you unworthy of coming back. When you looked back and took a glance at everything she has done, you came to realize, you didn't deserve any of it.

You thought you don't deserve her.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

She remained, never faltered. She stood there—strong and steady by your side. She did the same things like she did when you were younger, and you frowned in annoyance. She didn't change, and so did you. What it was before, it was still now—a crazy fan girl trying to win the heart of a handsome man who waas tainted with hatred.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You felt the warmness of her hand touch against your cheek and you emotionally went insane. It felt nicely warm, exciting and crazily tempting. She held your hand with pure care—as if your hand will break. The same hands that slashed through your brother's body. It didnt matter to her. Nothing mattered to her. As long as you were there that's all she could ever need, she told you. Her slender fingers ran along your jaw line as she uttered how much she loves you. You felt needed. You felt that you exist—she made you feel alive and human. So, you clinged. You clinged tightly to her.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

It became your source of strength. She became your fuel for everyday. For the first time, you let your guard down. You finally allowed her inside. And without even noticing, you started to fall for her. Maybe you already did from the very beginning, but you were just too damn focused on how to lay a finger on your mad brother. You slowly realized that something's wrong with you, something changed. But you didn't tell anyone. You are Uchiha Sasuke, you always kept silent.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You didn't see her anymore. She became too busy to fit you in her schedule. It drove you to the verge of insanity. You tried to act cool, but after a week without seeing her, you simply snapped. You busted in and kidnapped her from the hospital, leaving her very stunned yet amused shisou.

She looked at you with her bewildered and glowing green eyes. Before she could even demand a justifiable excuse for your action, you fit your lips with hers. And it felt great. You wondered why you have never tried this before. You ravished her plump lips, biting it gently. You sucked her tongue with vigor and humanly need. She tasted like cherry. Being the good girl that she was, she returned the feverish kiss with the same amount of passion you displayed.

I love you.

You were not able to vocalize it, but your actions spoke for itself.

You hoped it was not too late.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You looked at her—tangled in your bed sheet, lips slightly parted, her hair in a beautiful mess, her cheeks tainted with a blush, her chest heaving up and down, and those glowing red marks you implanted on her—you decided that it was the most beautiful image you have ever encountered. She was a work of art. One of God's precious creations. She looked heavenly and her innocence was hypnotic. Her strawberry scent filled your nostrils, making you high. You took her in like a drug.

Right then and there, you decided that you wanted to wake up to this heavenly sight everyday. And when she woke up, you'll ask her a question. It was actually going to be a statement because you won't take no for an answer. You finally admitted that you are selfish. But you blamed her, she had spoiled you rotten.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

You knew she will not have the happily-ever-after she had always wanted and dreamed about. No, not with you. But you said will try. And she loved you even more for that. You wouldn't utter the three words she's longed to hear, but she understood. You would be possessive and overprotective at times, because you knew she's all you have left. And you swore you will not lose her that easily. No, not without a fight to your last breath.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun."

In the end, it hit you. An epiphany you called it. You lied to yourself all along. Because you never shunned her away. She was always there in your heart. Before you thought you opened up to her, she was already inside. You seemed to have fallen for her trap and there was no way out. She had successfully made you love her.

"Hmm…" she silently woke up. You smirked knowing that you made her exhausted from last night. "Ohayo, Sasuke-kun.'" She greeted you with her sweet and innocent smile. You never ceased to wonder why in the world that the most beautiful woman in the village was now wrapped around your arms. But either way, you wouldn't care. All that matter was that she was yours. She carried your name, your blood and as well as your happiness.

"Ohayo."

And you felt you don't regret falling for her.
