Just a little something I felt like writing.

Jack Sparrow was sitting in his cabin. He had a rum bottle in one hand and a small knife in the other which was cutting out a circle on a piece of paper roughly the size of the bottom of said rum bottle. It was late at night and everyone knew not to interrupt Jack when he was on his own. He was just rolling up the map when he heard someone seemingly land on his bed with a loud "Oomph."

He sharply turned his head to find one William Turner trying to extricate himself from Jack's bed sheets. Sorry, Captain William Turner.

"I've seen uglier women in the exact same position," he commented from his seat.

Will got free and stared at Jack before smiling. "I don't know how I'll get used to that."

Jack found himself smiling back as well. "Knew you couldn't leave the world of the living without saying good-bye right?"

"Actually Jack, if I may call you just Jack."

"You may. We are both Captains now."

Will slightly winced before nodding. "I wanted to thank you."

Jack had a feeling something like this was coming. "Tis nothing mate."

"No Jack, it's not just nothing. I want to thank you from the bottom of my..." He didn't say the word and both he and Jack looked at the scar on the boy's no man's chest.

"It was nothing," Jack said somberly. He went over and put the map on his shelf and turned back to find Will staring him right in the face right in front of him. Being the shorter, Jack had an urge to back away.

"Why did you do it though Jack? You could be doing this; free to be on sea for eternity. Saving the lost."

"Yeah, saving souls. That just screams Captain Jack Sparrow," he said trying to get away.

Will made sure he didn't go anywhere.

Jack sighed before responding. "I didn't want to see her more upset than she already was. She already lost her father, but to lose you in such a short amount of time. The two of you, you're like the siblings I never had. I, I care about your well being as odd as that sounds. I don't think I would ever have found adventure if it wasn't for the two of you. I never would've had the chance for the Pearl again if not for you saving your beloved bonnie lass. Besides you wouldn't want to be a part of my family mate. Did I introduce you to my mother by the way?" He picked up the shrunken head on his belt and

Will just stared at it. "Hello Mrs. Sparrow."

Before he knew it, Will let out a light chuckle. Jack couldn't help it and he joined in. Before either of them knew it, they were both laughing.

"Keep it down up there," a voice said from below while banging on the floor.

Jack still lightly chuckled while Will wiped a few tears from his eyes from laughing so hard.

"You, mate, are the most honest and heroic and noble man I've ever had the fortune to meet. Is there anyone else better to do this job?"

Will nodded and took it all in. "I'd better get a move on then."

"Aye, you're going to be busy. Who knows how long it's been since Jones stopped doing his duties."

"Thanks for reminding me. What were you doing when I arrived here anyway?"

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with at the moment. Just concentrate on the duty at hand savvy."

"Savvy Jack. Good luck on your endeavors."

Jack extended his hand but Will pushed it aside before pulling him into a masculine hug.

"I don't want to see you anywhere near my locker anytime soon alright."

"It'll take something a lot stronger to take down Jack Sparrow mate."

"Stay safe."

"You too mate. Perhaps I'll see you in a decade aye?"

"Perhaps."

Will stood a bit away from Jack and before he knew it, he was gone.

Comments? Questions? Did you like it? I thought that something needed to be said between Will and Jack. A sort of good bye if you will.
