Pairings: Draco/Luna

Rated- PG?

A/N- Well, yet again, Luna takes over my brain and goes wild.

Draco, my dearest son,

Stop spending all of your money.

I understand that at 16, and in a difficult relationship with that Parkinson chit, you must consol her with gifts. I don't see that spending 25 Galleons by mail order to a shop in London for a "Football Jersey" will help your relationship any. I even had to ask my sister Andromeda what a "Football Jersey" was through owl. Andromeda even said that Manchester was a team any Muggleborn would be able to recognize.

I do hope you aren't the one wearing this "Jersey" to vex her.

And also, Draco, the extremely expensive (100g, 23g, 90g, 329g) orders you have been spending at Owl Order Flourish is a bit too much, especially since most of the books you are ordering out of their catalogue we have in our very own library.

Draco, since you have spent over your amount for this month, I am suspending your account so you can think about your budget and what it is like to have only so much.

I will send you fifty galleons a week until I have deemed that you have learned your lesson.

Loving you,

Narcissa

Draco stared at the elegant hand on the parchment before he looked at Luna and pursed his lips before saying, "My Mother says I need to think about my budget."

Luna gasped, her hands flew up to cover her mouth before she looked all around their little space in the library with glowing eyes. She leaned over the small table, the Manchester United jersey brushing the edges and her elbows, "Why didn't you ever tell me you had a Budget?" The Ravenclaw sighed, her shoulders quivered as she sat back into her chair.

"Well, Mother obviously doesn't think I do."

Luna's eyes narrowed, "Did you not take care of it over the summer?" Her voice went a little faster, "Did she take it to care for it? A Budget needs a lot of affection, needs the warmth of your hands."

"Luna," Draco shook his head as she cut him off.

"Maybe that was why you were so upset when you came back this year! You had to leave your darling Budget behind!" She sighed and her lip quivered this time, "How tragic, the poor Budget with it's little eyes and its big wings, being left at your Manor with just Elves and your mum for company."

"What?"

"Budgets need a growing person so they can….."

"Luna." She kept prattling on about the Budget her dad had once let her keep after her mum died and how it grew so big they had to build a cage outside on their land to hold it in. "Luna." Draco smiled as she told him with sparking eyes they day that her Budget finally decided it wanted to be free. 'Luna."

"Yes, Draco?" Luna tilted her head to the side, a radish earring grazing her shoulder.

"You are amazing." He leaned over the table and kissed her lightly on the lips.

She straightened her head and asked, "Lets think about our Budgets, Draco." She smiled serenely at the ceiling before Draco smiled and leaned back in his chair, thinking about his own budget.
