Authors Note: Thanks for being so patient. I have been having loads of issues with uploading my stuff to the document manager and stuff, sometimes it wants to work and other times it wants to drive me insane. Thank you for hanging in there, reviews are always appreciated. I am all for reviews meant to be helpful, but angry and hateful ones are not ever ok.

I am going to try and write things faster so I can post faster… hopefully I can try and get another chapter posted before the new year begins.

Chapter 52

John had been torn between what the right thing to do would be. It wasn't until the choice was taken out of his hands that a decision was made, Stephanie had told him that they needed him to wrestle and even though Kaylyn was terrified and absolutely sure something bad was going to happen, there was nothing anyone could do about that. John knew that his wife wasn't just overreacting to something, that she truly had a bad feeling and he knew that meant he needed to be on his game all right, he needed to be right on top of his game.

"I don't understand her, she knows I don't just…" Kaylyn was pacing inside the dressing room, glancing over at her husband and worried that she would lose him that night or that something really terrible would happen.

"I am going to be extra cautious. You think I would actually let something happen to me when I have you and our amazing twins now? I am not going to do anything stupid or let anything bad happen to me, not now that I finally have the love of my life." John said softly as he walked over to her and pulled her into his arms. "I love you more than anything in this world."

"And I love you more than anything in this world, except maybe the twins." Kaylyn teased back softly.

John grinned as he kissed her forehead. "There's my amazing wife." He said softly. "Stephanie said you could come ring side with me if it would make you feel better."

Kaylyn nodded slowly, glad that her cousin was currently watching the twins to allow Kaylyn and John some time to talk and then to allow Kaylyn to be down there to watch his back while he was in the ring, she was going to do whatever she could to protect the man she loved and the father of her two children.

He was not sure what his next move should be, he had heard the news that Kaylyn had attempted to stop the match and that she was now going to be going ringside with her husband and that made no sense. How was he supposed to make sure they could be together, if she was always going to be right there? He needed to continue on with his plan, but now he needed to figure out how he was going to be able to do it with her right there. Kaylyn was sure making it difficult for him to figure out how they could be together and how they could finally have everything that they deserved to have with each other. He could feel himself getting angrier and angrier and he wondered if changing his plan from doing tonight, where he was already uncomfortable with doing it, to doing it on another night away from the WWE arena might be better? He knew that there would be paramedics and doctors on site so if something did happen he was more likely to be able to make it through that, but still, if he died here than it would be better for Kaylyn and the twins, they would get more money from the company and that would help him in the long run, when he finally had her to himself.

Kaylyn knew something was going on but she wasn't sure what it was as she was standing next to John, waiting for his music to hit and for the two of them to get the cue to start walking to the ring. John needed this win to have his chance at the title again. Kaylyn wanted to be the supportive wife and not the wife that was holding him back, which was why it was so hard for her to have this horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Kaylyn was standing ringside as John's match was going. She was actually happy to be able to be out there, even if she was just standing there and supporting her husband. She loved hearing the fans cheer or boo and she loved watching her husband use his talent and she could see how much he loved being out there, how he didn't mind when he was booed, because it meant he was entertaining the crowd and he loved it. Kaylyn hated that she still had this nagging feeling in the back of her skull, but she knew that John's opponent was warned that there was some concern that someone was going to try something with the match or just to try and injure John, so it looked like the opponent was also being mindful. Kaylyn had been gone a while so she didn't know who this person was, but it was clear he was an up and coming wrestler and he would be a fan favorite before long.

It was just as she was starting to relax and get into the match, thinking she was being paranoid, that she saw something. Her heart nearly stopped as she moved around the ring and she saw something, it was clear someone had messed with the ring in an area, and it was clear that they didn't care who was hurt, either John or his opponent would have been in bad shape. Kaylyn signaled the referee and he frowned and rolled his eyes, like he was placating her until she pointed out the issue and then he held up his hand to stop the match. John and the opponent walked over, the crowd booed until the announcer had no choice but to inform them that someone had tampered with the ring. Kaylyn smelled something awful and knew right away that there was gasoline and something else mixed in. She wasn't the only following the scent and the trail, and what they found made their blood run cold.

John was in shock and he wasn't the only one. The police were called in and as they took pictures of everything, so that the ring could be taken care of for the show to continue, they also saw the area where something was to ignite and start a fire that would have engulfed that area of the ring and eventually the ring, killing the two wrestlers and the referee before someone would have been able to use something to put it out. John could see the terror in his wife's eyes, this was proof that her gut feeling was true, someone had wanted to kill him, someone had wanted him out of the way and didn't care how many people were killed or hurt in the process. If the fire had been started and gotten out of the control, it could have caused panic and massive casualties of the fans in the arena, it could have been a disaster.

He punched the wall in anger. It had been the perfect thing, they all would have thought it was an accident, an electrical issue because the fire would have wiped away trace evidence and then the water might have gotten rid of what he had put out there. He didn't understand why Kaylyn would have stepped in and then he smiled, his gentle Kaylyn couldn't stand the thought of others getting hurt, she wasn't saving John she was trying to protect all the innocent lives, including the lives of the children that were there, he understood now.

"It's all right my love, I will figure out something else, I promise I will get you free from him and soon, it will be us." He said evenly.
