Okay folks. Here's the deal.
If you go to my profile or happened to be on the front page of the YuGiOh section of this site to see this post, (I think the days of stories being posted so quickly in this fandom that new ones on the first page vanish into the ether within minutes, have long passed) you'll see an update to this story. It's a reboot, right from the beginning, and is completed - all the chapters are uploaded and ready for posting at whatever rate I can manage (probably one a day? I don't know, I have a job to go to and responsibilities that the me twelve years ago didn't have.)
It... feels a bit rude of me to ask for your patience after literally twelve years of waiting. Besides, I doubt anybody is even reading this, besides maybe the one or two people I received messages from recently, asking if there might possibly be an update, even though it must have seemed to you, at the time, very unlikely to happen.
To those people - I apologise for not responding to you via messenger. I didn't want to get your hopes up even though I was in the process of rewriting this thing literally as I got those messages - thank you, sincerely, for your continued interest. It might sound strange, but even after all this time, knowing something I wrote as an immature, unskilled twenty year old impacted people in some way.
SO, long story short: yes, I did finish it.
No I don't have a decent explanation for why it took literally twelve years besides "life happened".
Yes it has been partially rewritten though still follows mostly the same story going up to about chapter 18 - where the previous story trailed off.
I... guess this calls for the world's biggest "sorry for the late update" comment, huh?
Well... I hope you enjoy the conclusion of this story, everyone. You've certainly waited long enough.
