Adria left Daniel in the small, dark room after probing his thoughts until he was left with one major migraine and almost completely breathless. Apparently the extra memories had thoroughly demolished the barriers he had built around his mind and Adria had full access to everything, including Daniel's year in ascension. Now those and Merlin's memories were swirling chaotically in Daniel's overcooked brain. He lay on his side on the cold floor, unable to push himself up and wheezing pathetically.

However, as much as Adria had tried, Daniel had been able to keep the knowledge of the Sangraal away from her, if only by sheer will power. He had been overwhelmingly relieved when she had drawn away and informed him they'd continue in a few hours, seeing as his will power had started to fade and he hadn't been sure how much longer he would've been able to hold her off. So he focused on first catching his breath and wits. Then he'd try to sit back up and strengthen his will power a little more. Maybe he'd be able to rebuild the mental barriers a bit.

With a heavy sigh, Daniel shut his eyes and tried to block out the whirling memories.

Maybe he'd be able to.

That was, if a miracle occurred.

Cameron's assurance had helped her feel better, Vala had to admit. Well. Slightly. If Cameron was right, and Daniel was still alive, that meant Adria had him. And probably wasn't being all too nice. Seriously, look at how she had thrown him out of the cave! Vala had almost had a heart attack at that point, not quite sure what had just come flying out the cave and being scared out of her wits. Then, after seeing it was Daniel she had almost lost consciousness, thinking he was already dead. Her nerves had already been horribly shot, knowing that, as Cameron had put it, there had been some major redecorating Daniel's head and that wasn't good. Daniel engaging Adria in a magical battle had not helped. Nothing, at this point, was going to help. It would only get worse unless they found Daniel. Alive.

He knew Adria was coming before he heard the door hiss open. A painful shock of panic felt like an electric current as Daniel quickly threw up a few more stones to the blockade, too hastily to have any effect. He looked up at Adria in the corner of his eye when she walked through the door and smiled at him.

"How are you feeling?" she asked, false concern dripping in her voice. Daniel grunted.

"I believe I already answered that question," he muttered, making small circles with his fingertips on his temples. Adria sauntered in the room, the door hissing shut behind her, and floated to crouch in front of the archeologist.

"I can help you," she promised in a whisper. Daniel raised his head to stare at her skeptically.

"And why would you do that?"

Adria simply smiled discomfortingly. Daniel had to fight the goose bumps shooting up his spine. "I don't need your help," he finally grumbled, going back to massaging his temples. Adria sighed.

"I don't believe you wish this to happen," she said, her voice barely a whisper. Daniel couldn't help the sharp intake of breath as every spiraling memory was buried by the images Adria sent into his mind.

"All right," he said, his voice coming out in a painful hiss. "I'll take your help."

Adria smiled triumphantly and stood up to her full height, using her telekinesis to help Daniel stand as well. Then she stared deep into his blue eyes, exactly as she had when she had told him he shouldn't have wasted his energy on the lightening storm.

"It will be a pleasure to have you join us, Doctor Daniel Jackson."
