Once upon a time, there was a princess who fell in love with her guardian angel.
Kairi walked alone on the beach, she didn't know why, but she felt like she needed to be there. She closed her eyes trying to remember his face, his name, his anything. The Nameless, shapeless boy who haunts her dreams, she knows his voice; sweet loving voice, it made all the monsters go away. But a voice was only a sound nothing more, but she felt a need to be with the voice. Hug it. Love it. even though she knew, she could never see its owner. He was so carefree, the voice of the one she loved. But who was he? She didn't know, or rather she couldn't know. It confused her to no end, but she knew deep in her heart she knew that the voice, the angel's voice would come and fight all the monsters again.
But then it would be a matter of making the angel stay with her, rather then leaving her behind. She sat on the sandy ground, hugging herself and slowly rocking as the tears fell, "who are you" she asked the angel night and day, she could hear the disappointment in the voice when he answered "Still don't remember, Kairi?"
Then he would go away, she learned to ask the question less and less, but sometimes it would slip out. Sometimes her curiosity would get the better of her, either way she would end up crying a river of tears.
Her fear and doubt would come rushing into her body and without him she felt like a cold empty shell. Did he understand what he did to her, could he possibly know how hard she tried? So as she cried and cried then some more, her angel watched her sorry he ever left her life….his blue eyes stared at the mess him made of her making him want to die and die again.
"I love you, no name." she whispered so silent she could hardly hear it herself. "But I can't wait for you forever." She looked at the ocean; she removed her shoes and began to walk straight into it.
Despite his screams and yells of protest she didn't hear him, she wouldn't listen to what he had to say. She was tired of not knowing him; she was tired of being put to tears every single night. Then she just let go of him, the hope of him coming back, the dream of his voice speaking to her and the wish that they could be together in paradise. He watched it all crash as she drowned herself, and the last thing she heard was him screaming "I love you more, Kairi!!" Her last breath was stolen from her, by an angel.
She loved him so much, but she couldn't be with him not because she was here and he was gone, but he was only a memory; one that had been forgotten and you can't love a memory you can't remember.
It wasn't suppose to turn out like this.
