Deceit, Desire, Distain
Author's Note: I know I haven't put any stories up in a long time, but I'm working on two stories. In the meantime here are some poems that I did for school that are based from The Lion King. No flames please. This one had to have an apostrophe (to call upon something or someone in a poem, not the other one), symbolism, and an alliteration. And as for the Os, the poem I was using for a reference for an apostrophe was O Captain! My Captain! by Walt Whitman. Now I present my first poem in 4 years:
Deceit, desire, distain
O king of
kings
O prince
of princes
Both are
oh so blind
For
neither can see
What's
right in front of their eyes.
But I can
see the green that's everywhere
Neither
know what's around the corner
None have
any idea
But soon
they all shall see
They may
know suspect something
They may
know something is up
But they
have no idea how close the trouble lies
It could
be a cousin, an aunt
Or maybe
even a brother
Deceit, desire, distain
Author's note: Well that's it, I might put one of the other ones on tomorrow.
