Just a little drabble I did ages ago to the prompt first. Not especially well written, but I stumbled upon it and thought it cute. So here you go.
"But George, I'm nevous."
"Don't be Hermione. You're a brilliant witch. You can do anything."
"I've never done this before…" she whispered. "Well, I almost did."
"Shh…no worries. Just follow my lead, alright?"
"Okay, I trust you."
"Good," he said with a grin. "I am highly experienced."
"Alright."
"So just grasp it firmly. No, no—not that firmly!" he instructed. "Good. You want a nice grip, but you don't want to hurt anything."
"Okay," she said shakily. "Now what?"
"I want you to appreciate the shaft. Feel it. Touch it. Oh, yes."
"Mmm…nice," she laughed.
"It is, isn't it? One of the best I've been told." George admired it. "Now, feeling comfortable?"
"Mmhmm."
"Alright, get on then. You may have to adjust yourself to get comfortable. Oh yes, right there."
"Okay. I think I'm ready."
George smiled and looked at her. "Then start riding." Hermione grinned tentatively back started. She was shaky at first, hesitant in her moves, but she became more confident and took the lead.
It was amazing, incredible. She never knew that it could be so enjoyable. Why hadn't she done this sooner?
"Almost ready?" George asked.
Hermione nodded, her eyes squeezed shut.
"Hermione, look at me. I want you to see this, it makes it so much better," he urged gently. Hermione opened her eyes, just in time. Her breath caught in her chest. Her entire body trembled. It was so exhilarating; beyond anything she had ever felt.
"Wow," she whispered shakily as she got off. "Wow."
"Yeah," George added, wrapping her in her arms. "I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it."
"Thanks." Hermione kissed his freckled nose. "It was really easy actually."
"It told you your first time riding a broom would be a breeze," George laughed as they slipped their hands together and headed back to the Burrow.
: Did any of you think what I intended you to think? Haha. I just hope you got a little laugh at it, though I'm sure it's been done before.
