Nightly Visits Part One
He had just fallen asleep in the twin-sized bed, scooted close enough to Raito's to allow the chain to dangle between them. They had both been working on the Kira case for three days straight without so much as an hour of sleep total, so when they did finally collapse into their beds, they were both practically unconscious before their heads hit the pillows.
Raito snored, though L didn't hear it until he was abruptly awakened by a soft, small hand pressed against his mouth. His reflexes told him to grab the arm attached to the hand, jerk it around and onto the bed, then mount the intruder before they could make a move. But the scent of bubble gum shampoo and lavender perfume told him exactly who had crawled into his bed.
He wanted to ask Misa what she was doing, but her hand remained firmly over his lips. The room was pitch black, rendering his vision useless and the rest of his senses accordingly more sensitive. He could feel her body pressing against his, could feel the nylon and lace of whatever neglige she was wearing as it glided across his bare torso. And then he heard her voice, ever so quiet, saying "Don't make a sound or we'll wake him up."
She removed her hand and wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her lips against his and engaging him in a deep, long, wet kiss. When she did finally break away, he was positively speechless.
"I want you so bad," she whispered, "Please... take me tonight. Take me now!"
L opened his mouth to finally speak, but she kissed him again, grinding herself against him in a way that made the chain rattle slightly. She froze until the chain went silent again, then continued with a slower, more methodical pace.
"I'm tired of waiting. I know you said our first time should be special, but I just can't stand it anymore!"
Suddenly it was all so clear.
L reached to the night table between the two beds and turned on a lamp. Misa's eyes widened in horror. She glanced to Raito, still fast asleep in his bed. Her face became crimson and tears welled up in her eyes. She slipped off the bed quickly and held her arms over her barely-clothed body.
L stared at her with a blank expression, entirely unsure of what to say or do. "Misa-san..."
She dashed out of the room, slamming the door shut behind her.
L sighed and slumped back down into the bed. He looked over to Raito's bed, where the other boy was on his back, eyes closed and snoring rather obnoxiously.
He lifted the covers and looked down, then sighed again. He quietly turned off the lamp, and even though he was more exhausted than he'd ever been in his life, he didn't get to sleep for another half hour.
"Stupid Misa-san," he grumbled.
