A/N:

Inspired by a friend's MSN name and how I keep writing about characters dying.

CHARACTER TO DIE OFF THIS ONESHOT: Tohru Honda. (Again).

I really don't… well, it's not that I don't like her. I just like to write about her dead.

Disclaimer Warnings: I own nothing. Character death. Slight OOC…

PAIRING: Yuki x Tohru. (Yeah! Tohru dies because Yuki sucks. Lol).

Her heart pounded. Why did he… surely, he hadn't thought this through? She couldn't say yes. She just couldn't. She. Just. Couldn't.

"Yu-Yuki…"

She squirmed. In front of all these people… she couldn't say yes. But she couldn't say no, now could she? She weighed the pros and cons. Saying no would leave everyone shattered, but her happy. She didn't want to be selfish. But, saying yes would shatter her and no one else. Could she let that happened again?

"I…"

Yuki looked at her expectantly. She knew in her heart it was her duty to say yes. After Kyo had left her for unknown reasons (to her, at least.), she'd turned to Yuki for support. It wasn't long until she was going out with him, just as she had with Kyo.

People looked down on her for 'whoring herself out' so soon after he had left. It wasn't the right thing to do; she knew it. She should have at least waited a while. But she was selfish and needed support.

"Well, Tohru?"

He'd started calling her her name. She wanted it, Yuki did not. But he wanted what was best for her. He was being given a second chance. And he was happy.

"I just can't." She mumbled. Her tongue felt tied as she swiftly turned and ran.

"Tohru… Tohru… Won't you marry me?"

His words forced themselves into the back of her mind as she ran deeper into the forest. Tears welled against her eyes. She just couldn't do it.

She ran towards that cliff she fell off, so long ago. It felt like a thousand years ago that she had had her first kiss… her first love… she brushed it from her memory.

"No…" She crumpled to the ground. She peaked over the cliff and looked over it. It was so steep… she was lucky she didn't die the first time. Then it hit her.

"If I die…" She told herself. "If I die, then I won't have to worry anymore… because… they won't find me… and Yuki won't be mad at me… and I can wait patiently with my Mum for Kyo to come and save me!"

Her eyes closed. She could hear, in the distance, voices.

"Where is she…"

"Yuki, I feel sorry for you."

"Yes. She was the Cat's whore… and always will be."

The Cat's Whore.

That wasn't her! They just didn't get it! Did they pity her for loving him? Was that it? Because obviously they had never heard of true love.

She took an urgent step toward the cliffs edge. She squirmed once more.

"Mum." She said under her breath, before holding her nose and jumping, screeching as loud as she could the whole way down.

"They say she was never found. Although they believe she may have jumped off a near by cliff, rescuers are still to find her body due to a land slide that followed closely after she jumped..."

Yuki couldn't believe it. Why? Why would anyone do such a thing? Surely, she didn't despise him so much she would have to die to make herself feel better? The whole thing confused the Rat. Although, he did blame himself for Tohru's death.

News got around.

It wasn't long before Kyo, locked up in his cage, found out. Akito had told him.

Your little saviour's gone now Kyo... She had said. But you'll be with her soon.

And so, with the departure of Tohru Honda, life was never really the same for the Sohma house-hold. Yuki soon got over it and went off to find Machi; the girl he'd abandoned previously for Tohru. Shigure was inspired and wrote a tragic tale of her death and life before hand. And Kyo?

We'll just say he's with Tohru now.
