I didn't know what Nathan was thinking when he brought me here. He pulled me out of bed at 6:30 on a Saturday and insisted we come down here. I thought this was where my anniversary gift was. I'd heard rumors about this place, and what had happened, but I wasn't bothered. The sky was grey today, rain coming in from the coast. I looked over at Nathan as he intertwined our fingers together.

"Nathan why are we here?" I asked as he brought his lips to my wedding ring.

"Don't you remember this place Haley?" He said it with slight humor in his voice.

"Of course I do. But now, after what happened to it, why did we come back?"

"Because of the promise I made to you in this very spot 15 years ago. And the second promise I made to you somewhere else the year after that."

"Nathan, you really don't have to do this."

"But I wan't to Haley."

We stood in silence for a few minutes as we surveyed the place before us. Exactly where I was standing, 15 years ago, we had gotten married. That day, there was a beautiful beach beyond the grass. Today, it's gone. Washed away. The ocean was gone, and replaced with more grass.

"Well, I know you have a big romantic speech planned. So get to it Mr. Scott."

"Okay. Do you remember what I said to you all those years ago?" He paused and I nodded my rememberence. "Well, The ocean dried. The beach washed away. And hey, the sun's even looking a little dimmer." He paued again to let out a small chuckle. "But I'm still loving you aren't I?"

"Always and forever." I whispered.

"I promised you didn't I?"

"Yeah, yeah you did."

"Well, I guess I have to make you a new promise then don't I?" He joked as he snaked his arms around my waist.

"Yeah, I guess you do."

A/N: It's short. I know. But it was an idea that got stuck in my head.
