The Birthday Gift

A/N: This is a bit
confusing, but you just have to read it and judge for yourself. It's a little
bit of everything, so smile and be happy! Please Review, because I live for
reviews.
***Disclaimer: I don't own
anything that belongs to the wonderful and talented J.K.(isn't that obvious, if
I did, it wouldn't belong to her!) Anyway, I do own Callie, who is
pretty much in all of my stories, so don't steal her. I also own the
semi-interesting plot of the story. Thanks! Read on…
Lily crawled quietly into the Gryffindor common room.
James followed her as she giggled silently. They had been out exploring, again.
"This is a bit like pulling a prank, isn't it Tiger?"
James swore quietly as he stubbed his toe on the big armchair. "To bad Padfoot
and Moony couldn't join us." He said in a happy/sad sort of way. Lily's red
hair shimmered in the moonlight.
"This isn't a prank. It's a birthday gift. And you
know that Padfoot and Moony are busy with problems of their own." Lily smiled
sadly. "Here it is. The fifth year staircase. Remember, it's a birthday
gift. Even if it is a month late or so. Now hush! The professor will catch us."
Lily laughed. They climbed the fifth-year staircase silently. They stepped in
and laughed playfully. James conjured up a glistening lily and a small wooden
stag. Lily placed the gifts on the boy's bed and the couple tip-toed out again.
At that moment, fifteen-year-old Harry Potter awoke
with a start. He had had a funny dream about his parents. They had been
sneaking around. Talking about someone's birthday. Harry gasped at the end of
his bed. There, in the pale Hogwartsian moonlight, shone brightly a lily
and a wooden stag.
A/N: This idea just came to
me, and I tried my best. Please tell me what you think. I know its sort of
confusing, ya know. Why didn't they just visit him at home? Don't ask me. It
wouldn't be as "Oh! Wow!" if it were like that. Also, I am offering my services
as a proofreader. Thanks for reading and please review! Also, if you would like
a proofreader, tell me so in a review! Thanks bunches!
