You know, I never thought about it much back then. He was Sora, my hero, and nothing in the world could stand in his way.
But when images fade from memory and the only thing you remember is a possibility, you begin to wonder. When you watch him disappear in front of your eyes, you wonder. When he reappears, lying stretched out on the ground and motionless, even if only for a split second, you wonder.
Well, maybe you don't but I did.
I couldn't help thinking as I called his name frantically that maybe one day there would be something Sora couldn't face, someone who would defeat him. And then he was just there, lying there.
I can't tell you how hard my heart was pounding as Riku and I and the others ran toward him, all of us calling his name. Of course, being who he is, Sora just pushed himself up and blinked at us.
"Where's Xemnas?" he demanded. We all looked around for the Nobody obediently. I don't think I would have been able to say something even if I had seen him before Sora did. I couldn't say anything. I was just so relieved that he was okay.
Strangely enough, that worry I had been feeling evaporated. Maybe one day there will be someone or something Sora can't face on his own. But I'm not too concerned, because I know that if that day ever comes…
Sora will have me there to help him, and together, we can do anything.
