He was back. If you asked why or how, no definite answer could be presented, certainly not a logical one, but by some inexplicable reason Roxas was back.
In Twilight Town.
A place he had many happy memories of, despite the fact that it had only been a digital representation.
It reminded him of a film he had seen with Hayner once. The Matrix? Except, Roxas didn't escape with the help of a weird black man with gap teeth and the name death. He'd been taunted by a pyro, and a witch, and finally forcibly yanked out of his wonderfully complacent life.
He didn't save the universe either; he was only absorbed into someone who could.
Pang.
Pang.
Pang.
Jealousy. And why shouldn't he be jealous of Sora? He went on adventures, was a hero, had mad skills, and got the girl. Not that Roxas cared about girls.
He had always been something of a late bloomer. Whereas Hayner had a string of girlfriends Roxas liked to call walking disasters. Roxas had never been on a date. Neither had Pence, or Olette, but that was the way they liked it. Friendly, no stress.
Of course, that wasn't the way it was anymore, considering he had smashed in the computer that housed the illusion. His friends were gone, as was Twilight Town.
Here lied a paradox. If the Town was gone, ho come he was standing in it?
What made Roxas even more unsure was the fact across the street stood a familiar looking brunette haired girl with an orange shirt, her back too him.
She was clutching a plastic bag, with the words 'Twilight Xpress' printed on it. If Roxas's memory could be trusted, it was the name of a local bookstore. That or a Chinese place. Or a bus station. Which is precisely why (among other reasons) Roxas didn't rely on his memory anymore.
Timidly, he stepped across the street, towards her.
"Olette?"
The girls' head turned, revealing green eyes, curiously looking.
"Hmm? Who are you?"
Roxas's head was immediately downcast, as he stared at his shoes, as if they were the most fascinating sights.
"Nobody."
There was a pause, as the word made imaginary echoes in his mind.
Olette smiled, and offered her free hand.
"Well then come on Nobody, I'll show you around."

Disclaimers: Kingdom Hearts, Olette, Hayner, Pence, Roxas, and Twilight Town is creative properties and copyright of Disney and Square Enix, 2006. The Matrix is to the Wachowski Brothers, and Warner Brothers, I think.
Authoress Notes: It has been so long since I've written anything, I bet this sucks. My computer is in pieces, so this was written on a laptop which has a keyboard that jams. Go me. Dedicated to my friend Ken, and of course Caits. Sorry I dropped off the radar. Heat is one hundred-ish degrees midday where I am. No A/C. Brain Melting.
