Sugar-Free
Yue still had yet to ever feel comfortable in this house, regardless of the interior's uncanny resemblance to the first residence of Clow Reed. He still stood awkwardly at the window during each visit, lonely and hurt, not quite understanding that he had truly outlived the man responsible for creating him. He looked over when he heard the soft chuckle from right beside him.
The boy laughed that same light, knowing little laugh that Clow had laughed. The same little smirk, the same quirk. He was watching the yard below, as Ruby and Sakura's little picnic adventure was interrupted by a highly amused though rather angry Kero, chasing a drunken Suppi, who was scouring for sugar among the girls. Yue wasn't quite so easily amused. Watching the boy's face and seeing that familiar smile, he found himself being reminded once more that this was not Clow Reed. Clow only smiled like that at the antics of his own creations. The knowing smile that said he couldn't have hoped for a better result.
Yue decided it was time to return home. He was tired of this place. He could even say he owed it to his boy to switch back (though it really did seem that Touya was more his boy's keeper than he was). Yue walked away from the window of this strange house and from a boy he didn't know, having seen enough of Suppi flying circles around a fuming Ruby and Kero pouting at the lack of attention he was getting.
