I dont know what drove me to write this poem but the person who is seeing all of this is up to you, but the phantom is Allen. So there is small spoilers if you have already read most of D.Gray-man. I basically got inspired when I read the words "Dont go further into the Darkness" or something close to that, so I hope you enjoy it and if you are going to flame be nice about it I wrote this around midnight. So on witht the poem and I thank you for taking time to read it.

Disclaimer - I own nothing of D.Gray-man but this poem I wrote.
Echoing Silence
A black dream,
A dark illusion,
Everything around you seems to disappear,
Into a silken oblivion,
Still someone remains in your sight,
Someone who is long gone,
A phantom of the past,
The ghost in your nightmares,
A gravedigger of his own broken promises and dreams,
He starts to turn away,
Fading into the darkness he fought for so long,
Slipping away from your grasp once again,
His heartbeat gone,
The warmth he held taken by a cold wind,
You try to move, but it is only useless,
The in pain you cry out as you fall to your knees,
Hands cradling you head hoping for this to stop,
It isn't your pain you feel but his,
Tears run fast and you look up,
Seeing life filled eyes and an empty smile,
A tilted halo and broken wings,
His voice is silent but you hear the words,
Stained with sorrow and grief as he walks away,
His footsteps don't echo there is no sound,
He's gone, never to return from the darkness he walked into to protect everything,
Noise returns as tears of the outside world make rivets of crystal,
Nothing but a dream, but the dream was true,
For within the shadows he disappeared into,
His words echo in tribute of the silent footsteps,
"I'm sorry…"
