Proof that Bleaching Rots the Brain
The day Wakka decided to take Tidus to Besaid village, his patience was put to an unexpected test. Here is a brief excerpt of Tidus' first day in Besaid.
"This is Besaid village!" Wakka exclaimed, spreading his arms out.
"Really?", Tidus asked.
"Yep! See that girl in black over there? That's Lulu, a black mage", Wakka said, pointing at the spot where Lulu was chatting with Yuna.
"Seriously?" Tidus asked.
"Sure. Oh, and that cute one she's talking with? With a white top? That's Yuna, a summoner", Wakka explained.
"Huh?" was all Tidus could say to that.
"She's gonna set out on a pilgrimage to defeat Sin soon, ya?" Wakka added, hoping it would trigger something in the other boy's memory.
"You serious?" was the all the reply he received.
"Say, didn't you talk to her earlier?" Wakka inquired.
"I did?" Tidus asked in confusion.
"The toxin still doing funny things to your head, ya?" Wakka asked, beginning to be a little annoyed.
"You think so?" Tidus asked worriedly.
"Hey, knock it off, ya! What's with all the stupid questions?" Wakka demanded to know, his face slowly turning red.
"What questions?" Tidus exclaimed with genuine surprise.
"Every time I say something, you ask a dumb question!" Wakka shouted, his eyes beginning to pop out of his head.
"You serious?" Tidus asked again.
"You did it again!" Wakka yelled.
"Huh?" was all Tidus could come up with.
"I'm gonna smack you one, ya!" Wakka hollered, raising his fist threateningly.
"Why?" Tidus asked, backing off.
"Cause you keep saying dumb stuff!" Wakka exclaimed, with froth forming at his mouth.
"Seriously?" Tidus said.
"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggg!"
His patience worn out, Wakka did the only thing he could think of in such a situation: he punched Tidus squarely in the jaw, and thus did the young Zanarkadian spend the rest of his first day in Besaid blissfully unconscious.
