Roy being a cocky Colonel and giving Ed more assignments. What can I say? Not sure how happy am with it. Third try at Roy's character, still trying to get a taste of it by trying some new couples. Read and review, thanks!

"We're just humans."
I'm not sure what you meant when you said this, as you, Edward, are not just a human; you are a prodigy, and sometimes I find you are fueled alone on determination and feelings of burden and resolution.
For Al. Trisha. Winry.
Are we allowed breath, to feel guilt and love, smile and cry openly without the shame of being 'just humans'?
You could not save a girl, but think, Edward, who you have saved, and the dozens more you could save if you would just smile from your heart, and rid of your veiled affliction.
I've seen the ghosts of your sins in those flax eyes, the pain and the regret you hide from reality. But amongst that I have also seen persistence to fulfill that promise to Alphonse and a steadfast stubbornness to resolve your past, the will to achieve.
Yet you are still young, and perhaps through adolescence you will realize these things.
The seasons are harsh to you, remoistening pained reminiscence of your childhood and things out a grasp.
Al. Trisha. Winry.
Do not give up, Fullmetal. Though you are a Dog of the Military, through soul you are unconfined, and able to do as I have never.
"We're just humans," you say.
I expect a letter of calibration by Monday.
- Colonel Mustang.
