Title: Platinum

Disclaimer: I wish KH was mine...and so do thousands of other fans, I'm sure

Warnings: Sora x Riku slash implied

Setting: After KH2; small spoilers, but they're a little vague (or maybe it's just me)

Inspiration: A dream I had.

Notes: I haven't written in a while, especially not for KingdomHearts. I just couldn't get a fic all the way out of my head and into a document, so I ended up with this. I wanted to write something for KH2 so badly, I loved the game, but it was hard for some reason… Anyway, this is my tribute to KH2, and my way of showing how much I love the pairing Sora x Riku.

Please read and review.

Sora laid in the sand,
the sun shone on the shore
He had what he'd wanted
but not all he wished for

A Princess of Heart
She was all that he'd need
So he said to himself,
and his heart would still bleed

He tried to be happy
to hold to her tighter
He promised that he'd always
be there beside her

But he couldn't help thinking
his feelings were smothered
Couldn't stop his arms
reaching out for another

He looked back at the days
All the years that passed by
For Kairi he'd laughed
but for Riku he'd cried

He sat and remembered
the pain that was caused
All alone in a world
that just never was…

A man with red hair
Teardrops on his face
A memory blue eyes
and blonde hair can't erase

Recollecting the seams
of a past yet to start
Memorizing a person and
learning one by heart

A blindfold
A leap into depths of despair
A form with no semblance
except silver hair

He remembered his search
In frustration, his scream
When all he could think of
was aquamarine

In a time when he'd thought
paopu wasn't worth giving
Because life without Riku
just wasn't worth living

The soul that had given itself
and been broken
Just so that blue eyes
would be safe for the moment

He'd wielded his blade
He'd been true, he'd been strong
To grasp the hand that he'd wanted
to hold for so long

And even forgotten
At the end of forever
He'd been content with
eternity together

He'd felt a completion
Felt safe, not alone
Though his friend could not even
stand on his own

Then a sound made him turn
from his small reverie
Riku sat down nearby him
silent as the sea

No words were exchanged,
there wasn't a chance
He'd said all he needed
with only a glance

He didn't have to prove his love
to be true
Somehow, some way
Riku just always knew

He felt warm arms wrap around him
and smiled
To have only this
was okay for a while

It was thinking of you,
wherever you are
A sanctuary and
a fruit shaped like a star

Their souls were together
The worlds were at peace
He'd found his true love
and he'd found his release

With sound of the waves
lapping at his feet
He had a last revelation
and drifted to sleep

Of all he had witnesssed,
of all he had dreamed
He'd never quite felt so
simple and clean

For only one person
he'd fall to his knees
For Kairi he smiled…

but for Riku, he breathed.
