Writer:Blimey The Toad
Hey, it's a kadoozie!... er, poem!
I don't really even read poems very often, but I decided to write one. Why? Who knows!
It's in AABA CCDC, etc. format. It's written with Gambit's accent. It's from pre-trial days.
Hope ya'll enjoy.

Song Of The Gambit
Dis ain' how it s'posed to be,
I'm used ta lookin' out for me.
How I ended up here is
A mystery for even me.
Wasn' plnning' on stayin' long,
A week, tops, then I'd be gone.
But dat chick Storm, she pretty hot,
She talk me into stayin' on.
It wasn't bad, I must admit;
Well, maybe just a little bit.
I lived in a mansion, ate good food,
But dere was always Scott da twit.
I had to work, and fight, and train'
Subjected to lot's a bodily pain.
An' sittin' on da mansion roof
Was de only t'ing dat kept me sane.
Den came Rogue, she stopped my heart.
I wanted her to be a part
Of my life forevermore.
We got off to a decent start.
Den my past, and all my sins,
Dey come and haunt me over again.
Rogue went away, brought back a man,
She wanted us to "just be friends".
Magneto, er Joseph, I don' really care,
Da guy who's name fills hearts with fear.
Yeah, dat was him, Rogue's new "friend",
I t'ink I need anot'er beer.
So, bartender, what do you t'ink?
Should I leave, or see a shrink?
Is dos normal to live dis way,
My sanity, it's on de brink!
I guess I'll go, can't really see straight,
Cyke'll be mad if I'm out to late.
I'll see ya later, my new friends,
Hopefully next time wit' a date.
