"It never snows in Vegas, Warrick." Greg said as he followed Sara up the sloping driveway to a house in the most secure neighborhood in Summerlin. "Weathermen just say stuff like that for the shock factor. They have little joy in their life."

"Max has been right every day this week. If I were a betting man – " Warrick stopped as Greg gave him a look. "If I was still a betting man, I'd bet on him."

"Really?" Greg replied as Sara slipped under the crime scene tape and the other two followed suit.

"Warrick, how about you take the inside and we'll work the perimeter." Sara said, anxious to separate the two that had been fighting like brothers the whole ride to Summerlin.

"You got it." Warrick said and began walking up the front steps.

"Brass, Warrick's inside. We're going to take the perimeter." Sara told the man as he walked towards them. "It's been secured, there shouldn't be any problems." He said, nodding as he passed them.

"God, it's freezing." Sara said as the last few rays of sunshine faded and they returned to the back door where they had started.

"Here," Greg said, slipping out of his jacket and handing it to Sara. "I'm wearing layers." He said as Sara glanced at him in surprise.

"So you should be glad you didn't bet with Warrick." Sara said, shrugging into the jacket. "You might be out twenty bucks."

"Sara, when was the last time it snowed in Vegas?" Greg asked, exasperated.

"Today," Sara replied as she felt something wet stick to her eyelashes.

"No way," Greg returned as the snow began to get thicker. "That's insane." He said as a thin white layer of snow began forming over the bike that had been left haphazardly in their victim's backyard.

"I love snow." Sara said, surveying the quickly falling flakes. "It's gorgeous."

"Yeah. I agree." Greg replied, staring at Sara. As she turned and raised an eyebrow, Greg quickly amended his statement. "The snow? It's pretty, when it snows and for a little while it's just completely white."

Sara smiled slowly and walked towards Greg. "Yeah, snow's great." She said, putting her hands on his shoulders.

"Yeah," Greg agreed, looking down at Sara as she got closer to him.

"Wanna know what another great thing about snow is?" She asked, reaching up to talk quietly into Greg's ear.

"What?"

Sara smiled up at Greg, and then a split second later she threw all of her body weight against him, sending them both tumbling onto the snow covered grass behind Greg.

"This!" She said, throwing snow on him as he sat up.

Greg recovered quickly and grabbed Sara and tossed her onto her back next to her, then shook the snow in his hair onto her.

"You're right, this is fun!" He said, laughing as Sara's shocked look. "What, you didn't think I'd retaliate?" He asked, smiling.

"I…I can't move, actually." She said, trying to motion to Greg's legs, which were wrapped around her own.

"Oh." Greg said, turning red as he too realized their close proximity to one another. "Do you really want to move?" He asked teasingly.

"Not really." Sara said, staring at Greg.

"Oh." Greg said again. He started to shift his weight so he could lean forward, and Sara started to struggle to meet him halfway, but they broke apart as a snowball hit them both in their faces.

"Come on! Griss needs us back at the lab!" Warrick called from the other side of the fence.

Greg rolled off Sara and stood up, then offered her a hand.

"Thanks." She said, standing up.

"Welcome." Greg replied, picking up his kit, then reaching for hers. "I'm glad Warrick was right about the snow." He said as they started making their way towards the car.
