Devil May Cry 3:
Dialogue.
…
VERGIL:
I stand atop the devil's tower
And look down, at you ants of humanity
That my brother so inexplicably loves.
So small, so frail, against my vast power
You're no match for me.
DANTE:
Overcompensating for something, are you, brother?
I knew you'd come back for me
To shower me with your brand of brotherly love.
You won't be protected by that tower
'Cos nothing will stand between you and me.
VERGIL:
You taint the legacy of our father
By refusing his gift, the blood of a devil
How can you protect them when you're too weak
To protect even yourself?
Power is for the strong, never the weak.
DANTE:
Father? I don't have a father.
I just don't like what you've made of yourself
A slave pledged to welcome the Devil.
Come on, fight me, brother,
We'll see who's truly the stronger.
VERGIL:
And now we fight, in harmony, together
Our bond as fragile as a crystal-winged butterfly
For the first time, the bond of brothers
Binds us together as we once were in our mother's womb
It's enough to make a devil cry.
DANTE:
As we fight the years vanish
And we're close as we were once
A secret dream, a nurtured wish
Sprung free in an impossible place
To give us another chance.

VERGIL:
This was our father's home, and here I shall stay
In Hell, the Devil King to slay.
You have your humans to look after
And here we must part
Brother, don't take this to heart.
DANTE:
You left me, brother, refused my hand
Fell proud and undefeated into the sunless lands
Perhaps I'll never understand
What you've done, or why you've changed
It's only rain in my eyes. It must be, devils don't cry…
end.
