Chapter 27

Serena stared up into the green eyes, the man gruffly asked again, "Who the hell are you? What are you doing following me?"

Serena went to speak again, but she didn't know what to say, she didn't know if she could trust this man, she just mutely, shook her head and waved her hands up to show that she wasn't a threat.

"I asked you to tell me who you are, not to wave your hands in surrender, clearly you aren't a threat dressed like that." The man moved his sword over her dress and ripped a hole larger in the skirt.

Serena jumped back when the man put the tear in her dress. To which he stepped forward sword now pointed at her neck. Finding her voice quickly she lied to the man, "A human servant girl escaped from the castle, the vortex landed me here." Dropping her eyes to the ground, "I need to be hidden, they will come looking for me,"

The green eyes man narrowed his eyes at the girl, "How do I know that you speak the truth, you are too well dressed to be a Servant girl."

Serena inwardly cursed, she didn't want to tell the truth, she recognized those eyes, but she didn't remember from where. "All you need to know I was a Servant girl from the castle, surely you can't not protect a human girl from being found. All I need is a change of clothes, some hair dye and then I will not bother you anymore sir."

The green eyed man watched the girl, those eyes, they were hauntingly familiar, but they couldn't belong to the girl he had come to visit, she was assumed dead, missing many years before this day. He slowly lowered his sword, shrugged off his cloak and handed it to the girl, "You can stay with the rebellion as long as you need. You might have some knowledge we require."

Serena pulled on the cloak and stood up, the cloak clearly too big for her slight frame, but it hid her hair, which the biggest clue to who she was, she thankfully pulled the hood down over her forehead just above her eyes. Quietly she whispered, "Who are you and what is the rebellion?"

"I'm Andrew Furuhata, founder of the Rebellion, I will tell you more when it is safe. Who are you?" He asked ushering for her to follow him back down the hill.

But she stood stock still, dawning on her why she remembered those eyes. "Oh it's S-s-s sally," She corrected herself quickly, she was just standing at her own tombstone, what was she going to do give her old friend a heart attack. Other than the eyes, he looked unrecognizable, he had scars over his face, and he had bulked up, he had clearly been working out.

Andrew sighed, and grabbed the girls arm, "This is not somewhere for us to linger, let's keep moving, and then we can talk more Sally." And she was dragged down the hill roughly. Stumbling after Andrew, she found her footing and made her way down the mountain, trying to keep up with Andrew's swift pace.

After many twists and turns, the pair reached the new hub for the rebellion. Serena looked around, so many emotions racing around her mind, first seeing the state of her city and then, the sick, the injured members of the rebellion, and the others that Andrew had taken into his care.

Andrew stared at the emotions crossing over Serena's face, thinking to himself, he had seen those troubled eyes before, he had seen a girl bite her bottom lip just the same way. "Are you sure your name is Sally?" He asked.

Serena, snapped out of her thoughts, "Oh, um, yes I am Sally."

"Hmmm, okay then," Andrew said skeptically. "So you said something about hair dye?" Motioning for Serena to follow him. Serena mutely nodded to Andrew, and followed him into the basement.

A couple of hours later, Serena had cut her hair to shoulder length and dyed it black. Drastic measure for a desperate time, and it would grow back anyway when she transformed. She needed to figure out what to, how to take down Beryl, Diamond, and bring peace back to her planet.

Darien eventually found his way to the Arcade, the place had clearly lost its shine, the building in rubble, tables and chairs strewn around in mangled messes. Clearly he wasn't going to get his black coffee here anymore. Behind him he heard some rubble shift and he quickly turned about to raise his sword. Before the sword had left its sheath, a blonde woman with short hair had her own weapon pointed at his chest. But before she could say two words, a young woman with purple black hair came bounding up to him, and stood between the sword and Darien. "Hello Prince, about time you joined us." She said with a bubbly charm. Noticing Darien's hesitation, the girl followed up with loudly, "It's me Hotaru, remember? And Amara and Mich—"And she was cut off by the short haired blonde's hand covering her mouth.

"Do you want to get us all killed Hotaru. Lower the decibels." Amara said with a stern voice and slowly removing her hand.

Hotaru stared up at her friend, with a sheepish smile on her face, "Sorry I just got really excited."

From behind the pair there was a motherly laugh, "Calm down there Amara, it is nice to see someone excited about something these days." Michelle said this as she patted her partner on the shoulder. Turning to Darien she smiled, "So you have returned, I must reiterate Hotaru, it is about time."

Darien just stared at the three guardians, much like it had been with Mina, each of them had changed, grown up, looked a little hardened, it had been some time since he had seen them, especially since he thought they were dead for 3 years, change should probably be expected.

Finally finding his words he said "Venus said to come here, to see you all, to regroup."

Amara watched him carefully, he was awkward, clearly tired. "Yes we do need to regroup. Follow us, Prince." With a swift turn Amara brushed past Darien, and Hotaru and Michelle followed her, not waiting for an invitation he followed them into the building.

When he entered the secret room that the Sailor Guardians have been using as a super-lair, there were many hugs exchanged, it was like dog pile on Darien from the inner circle of scouts, while the outer planets stepped back. After 5 minutes of untangling bodies Darien was seated on the couch, staring wide eyes, while Mina explained everything.
