Harry had known how it would be. The two of them, face to face. He had known they would look at each other silently, rooted to the ground with the need to jump forwards. He had known their emotions would be boiling under their skins, ready to spill out at the slightest provocation. He had known they would both be thinking of that night, that tower, that second when their lives turned green.

But there was one thing he hadn't known. A kiss, a kiss so sweet it left a bitter taste on his mouth.

When the man turned and left, Harry did not move, did not follow.
