Chapter 1

Inside Middleton, a storm was brewing. It wasn't one of those type of storms that rain for a bit then leave. No, this was worse, much worse. The subject of this storm was one blond, freckle-faced teenager by the name of Ron Stoppable.

You see, earlier that day, he had had a run-in with someone he knew well. A certain someone who kept persisting, who wouldn't go away. He had tried hard, but they were like a pesky fly swarming around a stale sandwich. They had been in his life for a long time; he had just now realized how maniacally manipulating they really were. All they wanted was their way and nothing else. It vexed Ron so. He had put up with it for years, and now he was going to set them straight. Just as he had earlier that day, Ron walked into his house and out into the backyard, where the object of his malice waited for him. He faced them with a cruel smirk.

"So," he said, "this is how it's gonna be. I'm never gonna forgive you for what you did to me!"

The red-headed figure sat silent, as if Ron's accusation had gone in one ear and out the other.

"Is that all you're gonna do! Sit there and pretend you did not a single thing wrong!" Ron turned away from the figure, unable to bear the sight of their face. "After all this time, I can't believe you would do such a thing. I was irritated with you, and have been before, but this has gone too far!" Ron faced the silent figure, brown orbs flashing. "Okay, it all ends here. You and I never knew each other!" With that, Ron raised his hand, and...

...Threw the garden gnome in the trash can.

"How do you like me now, Mr. Gnome? Who's the girly man now?" Ron grinned, the gnome's shiny red top darkened by the shadow of the trash can lid. With one swift movement, Ron Stoppable silenced the evil that had been plaguing his dreams. Or...

...so he thought.
