Hades' Gate - Summary

So, I promised over a year ago to give a basic outline to how things were going to go in my head, but real life got in the way. I didn't really have the time, energy, or really the interest to sit down and write. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them inspired to me to at least give everyone a conclusion. I also haven't gone back to read Hades' Gate, so if there are some discrepancies I do apologize. So here it is - enjoy!

LILY'S STORY

Lily and Regulus were 'friends' even though Lily was older because they challenged each other academically. A bit like Severus and Lily's friendship from the books. When the whole "mudblood" instance went down and Lily started dating James, she cut ties with not only Severus, but Regulus as well. Coupled with Sirius' disownment, there really wasn't a reason for Lily to be seen with Regulus.

They met each other again when Regulus started working as an Unspeakable - mostly under Lord Voldemort's order.

Lily at this point was a bit disillusioned with her marriage with James. They both worked long hours as Unspeakable and Auror as well as for the war effort. She was smart and wonderful at research. However, James was still brought up in an old-fashioned pureblood household and Lily felt like he treated her with kid gloves and the Order of the Phoenix followed suit. Lily felt undervalued. In order to prove herself, she seduced Regulus hoping to get information on Lord Voldemort's movement. I don't believe she ever loved Regulus - only used him.

I envisioned Lily still fighting for the Order of the Phoenix until the bitter end. James leaves her and Chris doesn't want anything to do with her. She dies in the end (will elaborate more).

REGULUS' STORY

After Sirius was disowned, Regulus was forced to step up as Black Heir. He was also more nerdy and didn't quite fit into Slytherin. In his Death Eater initiation, each new recruit is paired with a mentor. Evan Rosier was his mentor which explains how he knows so much about Harry. One sided interest/love from Evan's side.

Regulus set out to seduced Lily because he hoped to be useful to Lord Voldemort but ended up falling in love with Lily. Due to his love for Lily and Harry (who he names Altair), he does "betray" Lord Voldemort the same way as the books. He goes after the locket, but Kreacher isn't able to bring it back to the house. Regulus drowns and becomes one of the many inferi in the lake.

Linked to Lily's Death - Harry summons the inferi as an army to fight for Lord Voldemort. Regulus takes down Lily in the end.

I was unsure if I wanted to resurrect Regulus from his inferi state as a show of Harry's power and his want for a family or leave Regulus as a zombie.

JAMES' STORY

James can't forgive Lily for his infidelities. He always thought he could love her forever. That night out at the bar, he sleeps with Rita Skeeter whom Ashe charms to be irresistible. During his drunken pillow talk, he spills the whole story of Lily's betrayal. Up until this point, the public thought Lily was raped on a raid/captivity and was kind enough to keep and raise her rapist's son.

He never forgives Sirius either for helping Lily keep Harry's true parentage a secret.

I image him giving up, but going down fighting in some random raid. Maybe, James goes crazy and tries to take out Evan, who kills him? Not too sure.

SIRIUS' STORY

He's only back to Lord Black because Regulus died. He found out about Lily when she begged him to gain access to the Black Library to do research and he spotted their family tapestry and saw the connection between Regulus, Lily and the unborn baby.

Sirius agrees to help because he felt like he had failed Regulus after he ran away and was disowned. They do a ritual which is supposed to remove the blood of the father from the child prior to birth. What ends up happening is Harry's powers (which come from his father's side) are all suppressed and his coloring remains the same. Hence starting the story as a squib.

Sirius and Remus break up. Remus ends up with Fenrir. I picture Sirius helping Harry to the very end but not actually fighting. He retires to the countryside and gives asylum to whomever asks.

HARRY & VOLDEMORT'S STORY

Harry resists Voldemort the best he can, but eventually they tumble into bed and have lots of sexy time. Voldemort attacked the Potter's that night 1) to take out Chris and 2) to try and reverse Lily's ritual.

In his travels around the world to learn, Voldemort stopped at a Chinese temple and a monk told him: his prophesied enemy would herald his ultimate equal only if he opens his heart to the other whom touched by death.

So Harry and Voldemort are sort of soul mates.

Both are immortal - Voldemort has his Horcrux and Harry has necromancer perks. The Deathly Hallows don't exist in this universe.

Voldemort is lonely after his rise and fall, so he takes the monk's words to heart and actually tries to court Harry because he does want a Consort he can eventually rule with and not get bored or tired of.

I changed my mind about Lucius. He's just a flirt and Voldemort's good friend. They may have banged each other as like an itch to scratched because I picture Narcissa as a frigid bitch in marriage; she loves Draco but nothing else.

Lucius and Narcissa do stay together and support Draco who marries Astoria.

Voldemort allows Harry to lead parts of the war effort while himself works on the Ministry.

I picture the final battle going down sometime after the event where Voldemort as Tom Riddle's son, is voted in as Minister.

Albus leads the Order of the Phoenix in as protest to the appointment of Minister.

Harry swoops in with his army of inferi and gets justice and answers for everything.

Originally I pictured a larger scale final battle. I wanted Dumbledore to be able to oppose Voldemort's appointment and the light takes over the ministry and starts to hunt down all dark creatures. It would eventually tie back to Hades' Gate where the school with all dark creatures finally band together to fight with Harry. And the school was actually built on a ley line much like the Veil in the Death Chamber. Harry has an affinity because he was conceived in the Death Chamber (which gives him his necromancy powers) and is able to utilize the ley line to give the Dark a power boost. He and Voldemort probably have hot kinky sex near the ley line or something. BUT this all seemed too long and complicated. However, if you think that's a better storyline, feel free to think this happened.

Mpreg was up in the air. I wasn't sure if I wanted to tackle that or not. But if it did have Mpreg it would be in the epilogue where their son attends Hogwarts and he gets sorted into Hufflepuff or something like that.

CHRIS & ASHE'S STORY

After Harry goes off the train as a necromancer, Ashe's visions have her join the Circus of the Night which is a traveling band of magical creatures and oddities. Ashe is basically like a crossroad demon. She is able to grant people their deepest desires, but the people owe her a favor when she calls it in.

Chris shows up to the Circus and tells Ashe he doesn't want to fight this war. She tells him, she can take it all away if he wants. Chris agrees to the deal because he has always had a deep seated obsession with her.

Chris dumps Lavender and takes Ashe to the Parkinson's ball where she wreck a bit of mischief. Harry and Ashe meet up again, but Ashe appears bitter about him abandoning her.

In the end Ashe traps Chris in his own mind with a world he's thought up. Where he's a hero and doesn't have to deal with the pressure of being the chosen one. He has everything he wants in life. Thus ending the threat of the prophecy child. Voldemort kills him. Probably in a very elaborate Hannibal Lecter inspired way.

Ashe's prediction (a long time ago) comes to fruition. Hermione plays the role like Lily, feeling undervalued and caught in Chris' shadow. She tries to play both sides, but ends up selling out the Light. Remus kills her.

Ashe flirts with Severus. He doesn't give her the time of day, but she's not giving up. Maybe in the epilogue, he allows her to make potions with him. They settle into a nice companionship and do end up together.

And that's it. Thank you for this wild ride!
