A/N: A poem for the greasers; a verse for each one. If it doesn't quite make sense, that's okay. :) Hope you all enjoy!

Disc: I WISH I owned the Outsiders. But I don't. I just own my copy of the book and DVD. The characters belong to S.E. Hinton.

--------------------------------

Of sunsets and dreams of far away,

Of books and movies and drawing;

Ponyboy's heart is still gold,

And it will always remain that way.

For drag races and dances,

And getting drunk without drinking.

For always understanding everyone,

Soda's beauty lies inside and out.

The hard choices he made,

The two lives he took care of.

The two jobs he holds to make it work;

Darry loves his family so much.

If laughing and joking were a crime,

Two-Bit would be a lifer.

If loving Mickey were punishable by death,

He'd be killed a thousand times.

Cars and work are things he likes,

Along with his best buddy Soda.

He loves to fight and enjoys his life,

Because Steve knows how to live.

Sometimes he could be a jerk,

Often he would be mean and cold.

But Dallas could also love and cry,

And his laugh was always loud.

Though he was quiet and beaten,

Though he was afraid and defeated.

He would do anything to save a friend,

He was the pet and little brother, Johnny.

The greasers are punks, JDs, and hoods,

They carry switchblades and sometimes heaters.

But they know how to feel and love each other,

And that's more important than anything else.

I feel odd…I liked writing Steve's verse a lot.:)
