I got into a car accident on Thursday afternoon. It may be a great theme for fics, but it's not funny once you've been there.
I won't be able to write for a while... a month or so maybe, as I burned my left hand, and writting has become extremely difficult to me.
I thank all those who helped me then, complete strangers remembering me there's still some good in this city. One day I'll write someting to them.
Also this is kind of a catharsis for me. I don't expect anyone to review it or enjoy it, but if you read it plesa remember: Always wear the seatbelt. It does save lives.
CRASH
It's not the stupidity of it all what makes him shiver every time he remembers it.
It's not the pain either, as he knows it's part of the process and, if he wanted to, he could ask for some pills to ease his pain.
It's not the fact that he has repeated the story over and over again, as everyone asks at different times and places.
It's not the fact that he ruined his precious car or that he won't be able to drive again for a while.
It's not the fear that he knows he'll feel the next time he uses a car and drives at the same street either.
No, what makes him shiver is guilt. Because he wasn't alone when it happened. Because he could've gotten hurt.
The boy doesn't blame him of course. He smiles and hugs him and tells him it's all right, that he knows it was just a mistake and that it's no ones fault.
He winks one of his purple eyes and jokes about it, trying to make him feel better. He helps him in everything he can and doesn't even complain after having to clean up all the mess or having to deal with his crazed family.
Shuichi is an angel, the sweetest person he has even known and the best thing that has happened in his life.
And he endangered him. In his blind stupidity, he endangered the person he loves the most.
He could have gotten him killed. In one second, he could have ended the best thing that has happened in his life.
He wanted to arrive early to their destiny and as such, he didn't even thought when he took that damned street.
He doesn't even remember how it happened. One moment he was driving and the next, Shuichi was telling him to get out of the car, and the burning pain in his hand and the smoke that filled the vehicle told him that he had crashed against something.
He had never been so scared in his life. Not because the ugly burn in his hand, of because the way his car looked... he didn't even saw that. He was scared that something, anything had happened to Shuichi.
Because many times before he has driven this way, and never really worried that something could happen, but with the boy it's different.
And as the pink haired boy hugs him, Eiri shivers slightly and he knows the pain and the guilt are his punishment for endangering his boyfriend.
He is thankful though. Only he got hurt. Someone out there has given him a second chance to protect him and love him.
He won't be as stupid ever again.
