A/N: I know this little scene is short, but it's something I thought of while at at the school's dance troop performance, trying not to claw my eyes out so I could see my sister perform, and I couldn't think up a way to put it in one of my fics, so it'll just stand alone!
Hank walked into the auditorium, looking around in the seats to see if he knew anyone. It was the opening night of the school's dance troop, the Snake Charmers, show, and because it was on a school night, the none of the rest of his friends were in attendance.
However, Hank planned to come all three nights. Watching the Snake Charmers perform was definitely worth the three bucks a night, as the vast majority were all good looking. Plus, the cheerleaders performed an act, and he planned to cheer on Val.
Finally, Hank saw two faces he recognized, both slumped down in their seats, looking very unhappy.
"Jamie, Caitie! What are you two doing here? This whole school spirit thing doesn't seem to be your type of event," He stated.
"Do not say another word," Caitie warned. "Jamie is this close to bolting, and if he goes, I go. But if Val finds out I didn't say to watch her dance, then she will be one very unhappy cheerleader."
Jamie held up a fork. "If it gets too bad, we have some eating utensils with which we can claw our eyes out."
Hank grinned. "Hey, can I sit down here? I don't know anyone else who came tonight."
"What happened to Tyler?" Jamie asked.
"He's one of the cheerleader escorts, remember? He gets to perform with them."
Caitie half smiled. "And I'm sure we all know exactly why Tyler agreed to be an escort."
Hank nodded. "The whole world knows that Val and Tyler flirt like two 3rd graders with a crush on each other even more than you two do, and trust me, that's hard to beat."
"What did you just say?" Caitie screeched.
"Nothing. Nothing at all."
