Disclaimers: I don't own Inuyasha

Warning: Some yuri, depending on how ya look at it, I guess. Could be viewed as a friendship, but I'm going towards a young, sweet yuri type thing.

This is when Rin is taken captive by Kagura

She watched with blank eyes, taking in the form of the sobbing little girl. Emotions. They were such a useless thing. She turned to walk away, when the girl spoke up.

"W-Who's there?" Her voice sounded so weak and broken...so unlike her cheerful and carefree one.

The logical part of her told her to keep walking.

The girl was emotionly unstable, she was liable to break down any minute, if she hadn't already. It would be foolish to get involved with the girl.

"Please come out!"

Again, she ignored her and continued walking, her cries having no affect on her.

"Isn't anybody there?"

She was now a good ways away from the unstable human. Any second now, she'd round the corner and--

"Please...Rin's so tired of being alone..."

For some reason, she halted in her footsteps.

Why? She questioned herself.

All she had said was a simple sentence...seven simple words...

Please...Rin's so tired of being alone...

And for some reason, she found her self turning around, and walking towards her, rather than away from her.

With every step, her heart seemed to get heavier.

What was she doing?

What she going insane?

If she'd been one to show emotion, she'd have narrowed her eyes down at the innocent girl.

It's her fault, she decided. She's the reason I'm feeling such vile things.

Coming to a stop infront of the girl, she took in her features.

She looked every part the innocent girl. A lopsided pony-tail, wide brown eyes and a round, trusting face...

I should turn away. She's dangerous.

Her body ignored her, plopping itself on its knees infront of the girl, surprising said girl just as much as herself.

No. Not a girl. Rin...that's her name...

Well, she looked at Rin with her emotionless eyes, expecting, and in some weird way, praying, for her to flinch back in surprise and fear.

But no.

Rin had only teared up before launching herself at the white haired demon.

What is this feeling? What's she doing?

Kanna stiffened slightly as she felt her wrap her small arms around her middle, shaking terribly.

Her mind raced, wondering what to do in a situation like this.

Think...she's a human...what would a human do in a--

If anyone looked closely enough, they would have seen her eyes widen ever so slightly.

Hesistanly, she wrapped her arms around her body, fingering her ponytail in an almost nervous-like manor.

What now?

Well, it was obvious. Rin needed words of comfort.

But what to say? She was emotionless, blank, empty.

She didn't have any idea what comfort felt like, more or less how to offer it...

But maybe...the truth?

Yes, the truth would do. It wasn't anything much, really. Just simple facts.

"You're not alone" She whispered.

She leaned against the wall of the castle, fingering the daisy Rin had so freely given her, before running of to Sesshoumaru, who was walking away from the castle.

"DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME!" Rin yelled back cheerfully before hurrying to catch up to her lord.

Kanna looked down at the Daisy in her hand before walking back into the castle, almost as if nothing had never happened.

But her body told a different story. Her fingers still tingled from where she had touched Rin's hair, and her body craved the her warmth. Looking up to the sky, a ghost of a smile made its way across her features.

Emotions...

Maybe they weren't so useless afterall...

I was half asleep when i wrote this, so please no flames. I know Kanna sounds a bit to mature in this ficcy, and I'm sorry for that...but once again, i'm half asleep. lemme know what ya think!
