"C'mon, Marcus, show us how it's done," Pucey called.

Marcus gritted his teeth and ignored Pucey, staring straight ahead as he walked faster. He regretted ever saying it.

Pucey, Bletchley, and Warrington had been teasing Montague about his alleged crush on Angelina Johnson. The conversation had devolved into a discussion on the physical attributes of the three Gryffindor chasers. From there, they'd mentioned which of the three Gryffindor girls each of them wanted the most. Foolishly, Marcus had allowed himself to get drawn into their game and had said, "Bell."

"Think Wood will get him, or the Weasleys?" Warrington asked, laughing.

"I'll put five galleons on Wood getting him first," Bletchley said. "He's a madman when it comes to his team."

"My bet's on the redheads," Pucey said.

Marcus sighed loudly.

Somehow, the Slytherin Quidditch team had ended up bemoaning the fact that they had no chance in hell with any of those three particular lionesses. By that time, their talk was getting on his nerves. So Marcus had snapped, "They're only girls, for Merlin's sake! Just grab one of them and kiss her."

The others had laughed. Then Bole had said, "Why don't you do it, Marcus?"

Marcus had tried ignoring them, and he'd tried to argue his way out of it. But it was no use, they wouldn't leave him alone until he did what he'd suggested.

Catching sight of the girl he was seeking, Marcus quickly walked ahead of the others. Thankfully, Katie Bell was without her usual group of friends and there were few other people in the hallway. He grabbed her arm, spun her around and kissed her. She'd opened her mouth in shock to yell at him when he'd grabbed her, and Marcus used this opportunity to shove his tongue into her mouth. She stopped trying to push him away and melted. He could feel her body relaxing against his before she started to aggressively kiss him back.

The sound of whistles, catcalls and clapping drew Marcus back to his surroundings. He let go of Bell and waited for the slap.

It didn't come. Bell only stared at him. "What was that about?" she asked puzzledly.

Marcus shrugged. "Just me saying goodbye. It was fun playing Quidditch against you." He turned away from her and hurried back to his so-called friends, acutely aware of her watching him.

The rumors were all over Hogwarts the next day. Neither Wood nor the Weasleys' attacked Marcus though. Montague told him he'd overheard Bell denying that the incident had occurred. This gave Marcus the impetus to send Bell an owl, asking her to meet him down in the locker rooms late at night.

She didn't reply nor did she meet him.

She was too young for him anyway, Marcus thought, plus he was leaving Hogwarts in a couple of weeks.

"Your turn," he said to his teammates.
