I have a story I would like to tell

It's about a boy and a girl who went through Hell

All they could do was argue and fight

Never admitting the other was right

They told themselves that they hated the other

Even though deep down they loved each other

Every day they went to school

One a nerd and the other cool

They went to class and read their books

All the while sharing ugly looks

They shared insults night and day

Not giving a second thought to all of the fray

The next day it would begin again

A vicious cycle that would never end

Sometimes they tried to get along

But the peace never did last long

They soon grew tired of the cruel laughter and tears

This had been going on for many years

They grew up and matured as the years flew by

Soon school was done and they started to cry

The five friends would now be moving away

They would no longer see each other every day

They realized their love but it was too late

They cursed the cruel hands of fate

For now that the girl accepted the boy

Moving day had come and rid her of joy

And now that the boy valued the girl

The hands of the clock had started to twirl

Their last moments together were going by fast

The now young man sadly turned and said "Gotta Blast"

And as that boy drove away

The girl cried for a night and a day

For friends will come and friends will go

But true love is once and of that she now knows

She had learned a lesson on that awful night

Don't wait until the moment is right

Tell them what you feel today

For you don't know if there will be another day
