A Fish in a Paradigm

Pairings: Translucent SasuNaru

I woke up today and everything was strange. It was a wild Alice in Wonderland familiarity and I couldn't get it out of my mind. It seems I have fallen down a rabbit hole of sorts and couldn't get out. My pale hands clenched the blankets.

'Pale hands? Since when have my hands been pale? And my hair.' Black strands coiled becomingly toward my skin. It was soft. Downy feather of angel's soft and I couldn't figure out why.

Melodies started to play against the backdrop of my mind when I tried to figure out what was my hair before. 'It… it was silver?' A sweet stringed violin picked up sharp poignant strains from the air. 'No. It was brown?' An awkward weighty, yet astoundingly graceful oboe waltzed through his head. 'Blonde?' Bells clapped through the air, prettily laughing.

"Whatever my hair was colored, I'm sure it isn't black." I said. The music had shaken me so resplendently that I could not care about hair Instead, my eye wandered over my surroundings. The sheets of my bed were thick suffocating ones colored a farmer's shade of blue.

'Farmer? Is that what I was before?' But, no these pale hands have never seen the light of day before…. These weren't my hands. I could very well be a farmer. Laying a hoe out in the fields callusing my fingers. I could have watched pea blossoms climb from their pink-in-cheek bonnets…

'Climbing, I remember climbing. I remember climbing! High above treetops. Like a stone in the sky.' Giggles curled out as I remember climbing. The feel of solid wood underneath my fingerprints. I remember bursting from leafy bush to arch gloriously into the sun.

"And I remember falling." So softly I remember falling…with people to catch me when I fell. They held out their hands and formed a trusting brightening circle. 'And I remember now more falling.' My body met with nothing as I fell. The weight of the world fell back into my head as I remember what happened after falling.

'Feet.' "And shoes. Feet and shoes happened after falling."

So, straight forwardly I was stripped. Given excessively much I imploded, or exploded. The stars broke in my sky scattering to fairy dust and goblin bells. So many bells ringing in the 108 sins of the world.

Ding-dong! One or one hundred and eight take your pick.

Ding-Dong! 'No, it's only the doorbell.' Someone is stepping in. He is blonde. I can always remember him being blonde. And climbing, he climbed too. I climbed because he climbed. And I fell because he fell. But, feet and shoes never happened to me. Because, I never fell. I never fell after falling. Hands happened after falling. I can remember now.

"Hey, Sasuke you ready to go?"

I remember now, I am Uchiha, Sasuke and now matter how many times I try to happen feet after falling for him so he could have my hands I can't.

A foray into something nonsensical and lyrical. See if this strikes a heart chord and drop me a line.
