This is my response to SullivanLane's "Write a fanfic that is all dialogue" challenge. Hope you like it.

"You gonna stand there all day, Clark?"

"Pretty much."

"Sure you don't want to help me with algebra?"

"I'm good, Chloe, thanks."

"So why're you here?"

"Watching you work isn't reason enough?"

"Noooo, it's not. Now shoo, go watch Lana pour coffee or something, it's much more beneficial to both you and her."

"How so?"

"Well, Lana gets to be admired for a couple of hours and you get to-"

"Ok ok, I get the picture. I'll leave."

"So why are you still here?"

"Bantering with my gorgeous best friend isn't reason enough?"

"Clark don't start- wait, did you say gorgeous?"

"Nuh-uh."

"Yes you did!"

"Nuh-uh."

"Yes you did!"

"Nuh-uh."

"Clark, you said-"

"I said you're beautiful."

"You- what?"

"You heard me."

"Yes but I'm beginning to doubt my own ears. You know what happened last time we tried… this, whatever 'this' is."

"I know. You broke up with me, if I recall correctly."

"Well yes, because you left me at the Spring Formal, all alone and-"

"You didn't want to, did you, Chloe?"

"No I didn't want you to leave me all alone, you moron!"

"That was over a year ago, Chloe and I said sorry. Repeatedly. What I meant was that you didn't want to break up with me. Did you?"

"I- yes-no, Clark! Stop grinning at me like that! It's weird to say the least!"

"Weird enough to be on the Wall of Weird?"

"Weird enough to take centre stage, if you must know- and stop going off topic, Clark!"

"What is the topic?"

"Me!"

"Well, then I better get on topic…"

"Clark!"

"Oww! Chloe, that hurt! You didn't need to hit me with a… what is this anyway? An invitation to some ball?"

"No, that's my invitation to Lex's party, and yours."

"But I'm not having a party!"

"Duh Clark, it's your invitation to Lex's party!"

"But I've already got one… Lex gave me one last week…"

"Yes, but you're not going with Lex are you? You're going with me. 'Chloe Sullivan and Guest', see, it says right there!"

"Oh."

"Yes, 'oh.' Now go make yourself useful if you insist on staying, go check the printer is working, I told it to print hours ago… Now where did I leave that article…"

"Ok. But Chloe?"

"What?"

"I'd much rather check you're working."

"Clark! That is so cheesy."

"You like cheesy?"

"I guess I could get used to it. For you."

"Chloe, stop grinning at me like that!"

Fin

Whew, this is officially the cheesiest thing I've ever written. I had fun writing it though. Please tell me if it's so incredibly cheesy that it's awful and should never see the light of day again, or if it's cheesy in a cute, funny sort of way!
