Prince CharmingChun Hyang wondered when her life had become a faerie tale.
She felt like a princess in the intricately embroidered red kimono that she was clothed in. She shifted uncomfortably and glided a hand down the smooth silk, her fingers itching for the handle of her blade. Before depositing her in this room Mong Ryong had gently confiscated her weapons after a heated argument. Weapons are forbidden in the Emperor's Palace he had exasperatedly told her in the end and watched in amusement as she had turned white and meekly handed over her twin curved swords.
But what's a princess without a prince?
Glancing up the sound of footsteps, she almost blushed at the sight of Mong Ryong, resplendent in a dark blue robe embossed with strands of gold. That pervert's not my prince, she fiercely thought to herself as she walked toward him. You're just in denial, her common sense pointed out, before quickly being overridden by the majority of her brain. He held out an arm and she hesitantly took it, suppressing the warm feeling conjured up in her when she saw his broad smile. Forget it, she told herself, living happily ever after is highly overrated.
