Summary- In sleep he sang to her, in dreams he came… No matter where she is, her Angel of Music will always be there, singing songs in her head… (One-shot)

Disclaimer- I think everyone knows that no one on this site owns PotO…

A/N- this phic is based on a true story! Okay, no, not really. But kind of! Ya see, I was about to go to sleep one night; I was like half-asleep, when I kept hearing these noises (my dogs running around, the wind, ect.). They kept waking me up. Eventually the noises stopped and I went to sleep.

The next day, I was reading a phic, and in it Christine heard Erik's voice in her head, but Raoul didn't hear anything. So, right after that, I was singing the PotO theme to myself, (In sleep he sang to me, ect…) and the two just clicked, and I sat down and wrote this phic.

Christine snuggled against Raoul. This is happiness, she thought. Falling asleep in the arms of your beloved husband.

Christine was just at that moment where you can feel yourself about to fall into sleep, when she heard an all too familiar voice-

'Nighttime darkens,

Heightens each sensation,

Darkness stirs,

And wakes imagination…'

She started. "Raoul! Did you hear that?" she asked, half-whispering.

"What?" he asked, sitting up.

Christine sat up too, and looked around the moonlit room. It was the epitome of peace and quiet. "I guess- I guess it was just a dream." She said, blushing.

"Are you sure?" Raoul asked.

"Yes, yes, I'll be alright." She said, lying down again. She sighed softly. Was this how it was to be? Was she to forever hear Erik inside her head as penance for forsaking him?

These thoughts troubled her for a few moments, but she was weary, and slowly, she felt herself slip into sleep again…

'Silently the senses,

Abandon their defenses…'

"Raoul!" she cried, jerking upright.

"Christine?" he asked worriedly. "Whatever is the matter?"

"I- it's just- I keep hearing things…" she trailed off. In sleep he sang to me, In dreams he came… "Oh, God." She whispered.

"Christine?"

She sighed. "Go back to sleep, Raoul. It's nothing." Nothing I don't deserve, she added silently.

She laid back down, about to drift into sleep again. The last thing she remembered was Erik's voice, beckoning her from dreamland.

'Welcome home, my angel…'

Yeah, I know, it's weird. Probably isn't fit to see the light of day, even. But… my friend said I should post it, so yeah…
