The Blue Ones
Capter 2 is short but good. Well, at least I am happy with it. And generally I don't like the fluffy scenes I write. But this one…makes me smile. The Pi is for a spacer...a mathy spacer...even if it won't let me do a 'point' between the 3 and 1.
And thanks for the reviews on chapter one!
Summary: Another day of reviewing boring reports causes Don decides to mix it up a bit.
Pairing: Don/Terry

She was starting pick a new city, no make that state, maybe country, that she would like to be transferred to when she snapped, "Ok Don! Stop being so….quiet!"
She glanced up and his face which was carefully blank. She wrung her hands, "you must have some thoughts on what I just said."
His eyes searched her for a moment be fore he spoke softly, "just answer me this Terry."
She heard her heart hammer in her chest at his far too calm tone and she swallowed hard.
Don frowned, "do you want to be with me as much as I really really want to be with you, or are you just trying to change the subject about you not sharing your blue food?" A grin cracked across his face.
Terry felt her heart leap into her throat and a strangled noise of escape her throat before she had launched herself at him, dropping her bag of food on the floor, her lips firmly planted on his. She felt his mouth curve into a smile beneath hers as he wrapped his arms around her back The feeling of him against her was electric and she didn't know how she had gone on so long without it.
Terry pulled back and smiled for a moment before frowning and giving him a sharp jab to the solar-plex.
Don's lungs expelled in a oomf and he glared as he rubbed his chest, "Ow! What did you do that for!"
"For scaring me half to death! Did you have to be so quiet for so long!"
He continued to massage his chest as he snaked his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him, "well you kinda sprung that one on me. I had to think for a moment."
She rolled her eyes but felt herself melting as he continued to sidle up to her, "but you felt the same way! Did you really have to drag it out that much?"
He grinned, "yes."
She felt herself grin back despite herself, "you are a terrible person you know that?"
He smiled again. His mouth drifted over hers, "yes," and he captured her mouth in another kiss.
Terry was just about to start feeling more than a little breathless and glad that Don had locked the office when he pulled back, leaving her feeling dazed.
He looked at her a moment, "you do realize that when I said 'being with you' I meant the 'being with you' where we get to see each other naked again right?"
She grinned, "most definitely yes." She moved in to kiss him when he pulled back once again.
"And that you kissing me in no way makes me forget about that mystery blue food that you won't share."
Terry laughed and sighed. She studied him a moment, "are you gonna be this big of a pain in the ass all the time now?"
Don smiled broadly and kissed her on the nose, "yes."
She smiled, "and you want to know about the food right now?"
He looked at her solemnly, "before we do anything else."
She sighed and leaned over the side of the couch looking for her discarded items. She snagged them and plopped them into Don's lap.
He stared for several moments. His gaze flickering from the bag to her. Then back to the bag. Before returning to her.
"What are they."
She frowned, "Smarties."
He frowned right back, "but they are all blue…"
"yah…"
"Where are the rest of the colours?"
Her eyebrows furrowed, " I separated them."
He stared at her, "you separated them? As in you have the rest of the colours elsewhere?"
She nodded and pulled out a small handful, popping them into her mouth, "yah. It's a thing I've done since I was little. I like to eat them each on their own."
He glanced between the two of them again, "that's weird. Again, how did I not know of this?"
She shrugged with a small grin.
He narrowed his eyes before kissing her again, "you arrange your DVD's in alphabetical order now don't you?"
She gave him a wide-eyed look, "and you don't"
He smiled and kissed her again, "weird."
She grinned and held the bag up to him, "would you like some of my blue Smarties?"
He didn't even bother looking at them as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back against his chest, "nah, I don't trust anything that is blue. Nothing edible in nature is blue. Therefore it is not meant to be eaten."
She craned her neck up to look at his smug face, 'then why did you pester me about sharing with you! And Blueberries are blue."
He frowned, "No they are purple. But don't change the subject again, it is the principal of it all Terry! Your ineptness with sharing is alarming! I am amazed that you ever passed kindergarten myself."
She smiled and snuggled against him, "well, take me or leave me Agent Eppes."
He feigned thoughtfulness, "Hmmm, I think I'll take you Agent Lake. Weird habits, colour blindness and all. I figure I've done it once before…"
She rolled her eyes, even though he couldn't actually see them, "well thank you for over looking my flaws. It is very big of you."
He kissed the top of her shaking head, "I know," he said sagely.
Terry wrapped her arms over his and leaned into Don, " I can kick your ass you know."
She felt him nod, "I know." He was silent for a moment, "though with this rekindled relationship between us it could be considered foreplay."
Terry couldn't help it, she laughed.
Don looked down at her, " you know how you liked that I am smiling more?"
She nodded.
He smiled, "well I like that you are laughing more."
She held in another grin and said somberly, "well I can see that happening a lot more now. I am back together with this really great guy."
He frowned, "me right?"
She arched her head back and kissed him again, "yes."
He sighed and settled back against the couch, "good." He pulled Terry snuggly against him, "cause if it was some other guy I would definitely have to kick his ass."
Terry laughed, and nestled against his warmth. She decided she liked laughing more too.

Done and done my friends. What chu think?
The Smarties thing is mine. I do that. Don't know why...but when I buy a bag of Smarties (yes bag, boxes are a rip off of the worst kind) I separate the colours. I also alphabetize my DVD's, but I figure lots of people do that.
The theory about the colour blue is a friend of mine's. She will not eat or drink anything blue because of it. I think she is weird and I make sure to eat lots of Blue Fishes(a type of candy) when I am around her.
Mmm…blue fishes.
