I watched her whenever my son wasn't looking. She watched me whenever her husband wasn't paying her any attention. We didn't care if anyone else on the island knew how we felt. All we knew was that we loved one another, but her spouse and my kid couldn't know… just not yet at least…
Bright and warm and wonderfulI loved it whenever we could get away from everyone. When we were free to show our expressions of love, without having to worry about my kid spying on us or her husband walking in on us by accident. Her fingers entwined in mine, my other arm around her waist, we'd like to walk along the beach where people rarely walked at all. We walked and talked about how our lives were going. How we had come to be stuck on this island to begin with. How she had gotten married. How I had ended up with a child but no wife. Sometimes we even saw Charlie and Claire walking down the beach. We'd wave and smile at each other, but we'd let them go off in their own separate direction, knowing they felt the same way we felt for each other.
Shining like the love within my heartI loved her so much. I knew that someone on the island didn't want us to leave, and a part of me inside thanked him or her so much. If we did manage to leave the island she would leave back to her home in Korea, and I'd have to be on my way with my son. We'd probably never see each other again. No more late night strolls. No more glances at each other. No more talks about our lives. No more secret kisses… No more…
Now there's no more SunThat's why I was devastated when a helicopter finally found us. I knew she was too. I could see it on her face. When her husband was around her she acted as if she couldn't be happier, as if getting off the island was the best thing that had ever happened to them. But when he left she would look devastated once again. Everyone around us was happy, hugging, and I wasn't surprised to see some kisses shared from all the excitement (mainly kisses shared between Jack and Kate, who would blush after sharing a kiss because people would begin to clap for them, Claire and Charlie, and some other random couples).
Winter has killed everythingThe helicopter pilot called for back up, and in another hour five more helicopters came to take us all back to civilization. I ended up in a helicopter with the dog (Vincent), Walt, Charlie, and Hurley. She got in one with Jin, Shannon, Boone, and Locke. Even though we were flown to the same location of land, after the minute I boarded my helicopter and got one last glance at her, I never saw her beautiful face again.
And although it's dark DecemberNow I sit in my home, watching my child grow up and learn. It's been 7 years since the crash now, and soon he'll move out of the house and leave me. Just as she left me… Walt's tried to fix me up with millions of single women, but face it, he's no Yenta. I still wonder what it would've been like if I had taken her back with me. If we had gotten married, and she had been there for Walt in times of dire when he needed a mom to hold him. If she had been there in times when I need someone to love, to hug, to kiss…
Forever, I'll rememberMy darling, my love…
