SUMMARY: Just a little fluff. Femslash, of course. Can't tell you the pairing. It's a surprise.

FEEDBACK: PLEASE OH PLEASE!

RATING: Dunno. I'll make it Pg-13 to be safe.

DISCLAIMER: I OWN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! If I did, Xander would be gay, Tara would be alive, and Kennedy would be shot. :D

This isn't the dark, humid, sweaty room you were afraid of.

This sure doesn't feel like the ropes, whips, and chains that crossed your mind.

This is just the two of you, nothing scary.

The fear and pain that you were so sure were there are gone now, and as she gently puts her hands on your hips, you swear you've just fallen more.

Her eyes lock with yours, and she smiles softly at you. You smile back, praying that your eyes are telling wondrous tales, since all ability to speak disappeared when she looked at you.

Your eyes brim with tears, and you don't know why.

This is not something sad.

You're still grinning like a moron, and you realize that they are tears of pure joy.

You sigh and put your head on her shoulder, which is hard, because even with your heels, she's still an inch taller than you.

She tilts her head to rest on yours, and runs her fingers gently through your hair.

Gentle. You never thought she could be like this, but then again, you are notorious for never looking past the surface.

It kicks in, just now, how much you missed her, and you cry more.

After a few more tears, you think about how ridiculous you two would look to anybody watching; standing in the middle of your living room, dancing slowly to some imaginary tune.

You pull her closer, and hold her tighter, and she kisses your head.

You think that she notices the scent of the mango shampoo you used purposely (you knew she loved it) because her mouth and nose linger there for a moment.

You pull away slightly and look up to her, your eyes bloodshot from your tears.

Words slip out of your mouth before you can put any deep thought behind them.

"Can you kiss me?" It comes out quickly, your voice quivering with fear of rejection and shock of hearing your voice.

She simply smiles and nods, and leans in, gently tickling your lips with her own.

You felt every hair on your body stand up, your nerves on fire, lips scorching.

You find it very hard to believe that she did that to you without actually kissing you.

Regardless of your rising body temperature, you shiver, and she becomes concerned.

"Are you cold?"

You shake your head like a moron, but she doesn't care, because she kisses you again, this time taking your bottom lip into her warm mouth. You believe now, that she can do wondrous things to you with a slight touch, because your nerves have melted, and your knees buckle.

She catches you, and holds you with her strong arms.

"I love you..." Your words are barely above a whisper.

"Hmm...?" she mumbles in response.

"I love you..." Although you know she still didn't hear you, you can't bring yourself to raise your voice.

She chuckles a bit, and looks you in the eyes.

"I still can't hear ya, B." she whispers, and kisses your forehead.

"I love you, Faith." You speak properly this time, looking her directly in the eyes.

You expected the worst possible response from her. Disgust, anger, maybe even shock. But what she does next makes you realize the feeling is mutual.
