AN: Another story apart of my challenge to finish. Ten years have to pass but I think I am ready, finally ready, to finish all the stories I began as a teen. I'm almost a quarter of a century old, working almost full time and going to school… Yet here I am putting time aside to re-do my old fics.

Ten years is hell of a difference and I'm surprised I had as many reviews and follower as I did then. Hopefully some of you will come back. For those of you stopping in for the first time, thank you. I hope you enjoy.

Will Inu stay faithful or will jealousy tear them all apart? As each day passes, Inu Yasah begins to give into his jealousy.

Chapter 1: The Promise

It was the beginning of the school year one beautiful fall morning in September and the parents chatted and giggled amongst themselves as the children slowly began to emerge onto the playground. May of the kindergartners opened up to one another right away, however some kept to themselves for the time being.

One little boy, named Inu Yasha, sat in the sand box making sand dunes by himself. He flicked his long braided black hair over his shoulders as he yawned. It was much too early to be here, in his opinion at least. He also wasn't very fond of the stiff uniform shorts he had to wear, however he was glad he could wear red shirts and shoes since it was his favorite color.

While he was dusting himself, and his red backpack he had been sitting on, off, another little boy walked up to him and said in a cheerful voice, "Hi! I'm Koga! What's yours? We gonna be in the same class together."

"I-Inu Yasha." He said hesitantly. He was taken aback as Koga shook his hand vigoriously.

"Wanna be my friend?" Koga blurted out.

Inu Yasha stared at him for a moment. Brown hair, startling blue eyes, tanned skin from being out in the sun too long, brown shirt, dark blue shorts like his and…

"You like Power Rangers?"**

Koga's face lit up like a Christmas tree, "YEA! I really like the Green Ranger and the Blue Ranger can be really cool too because he has a triceratops!"

Inu Yasha became just as animated, "The Red Ranger is my favorite!"

Both boys squealed excitedly.

"Friends?" Koga asked again, holding his pinky out.

"Friends!" Inu Yasha chirped, hooking his pinky with Koga's. They looked at each other and smiled. They quickly put their backpacks away and played in the sand box before their teacher announced the departure of their parents and beginning of class. As the two young boys got to know each other through the day, the began to trust each other more and more then the other students and very soon, they were inseparable.

-Spring-

"Hey Inu," Koga said as he sat next to his friend during their recess break like they always did, "We're best friends, right?"

Looking up from his juice box, Inu Yasha answered, "Of course we are! Until we're old farts! Why?" he munched on an animal cracker, extended the box for his BFF to part take in the deliciousness. Koga smiled and took a cracker.

"I just wanted to know. You're my best friend too. And I wanna make a promise."

Inu Yasha and Koga adjusted themselves so they sat in front of one another. Inu Yasha stared at him curiously, urging him silently to go on.

Koga sat up straight, "Let's promise to never ever, ever, and I mean, EVER let anything come between us, okies? No secrets, no lies, no nothings. We'll be friends until we're fat old smelly farts, just like you said." Both of them giggled at the last part.

"It's a pinky promise. No nothing, no nobody. Just you and me, best friends forever."

"Yea! Forever!"

Like the first day of their friendship, both boys hooked their fingers to one another and bonked heads to seal away their promise that was meant to last them lifetime, unaware that one little girl would put them to the test.

AN: Well, some minor adjustments. Not to shabby if I do say so myself. First few chapters will be relatively slow, so please bear with me (rawr!). I really can't believe it's been 10 years since I first began this project. I will finish this story. I must.

**Indicates that I'm referring the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers because that's the one I grew up with, it's still bitchin' and awesome and all ya'll who didn't grow up in the 90's missed out on some great cheesy stuff.
