When Justin is crawling across the bed, his naked ass wiggling in the air, he appears to be miles beyond his seventeen years of age. But then there are times when Brian can't help but realize how young his lover truly is.

He went to his prom. His *prom*. Because he's still in *high school*. And how did his perfect night end? With a beating from some homophobe with a baseball bat. Brian doesn't like blaming himself, for anything - it's just not his style. But sometimes, he just can't help himself.

As he sits on the edge of the bed, watching the blond boy sleep, clutching his small, pale hand in his, Brian thinks that maybe he should let this go. He's just a kid. Justin's got his whole life ahead of him, and the chance to get it right. He tells himself that he should go, leave this all behind him.

Then Justin's hand twitches in his, and Brian feels his breath hitch, his heart skip a beat. That happens, occasionally, when he's with him. He's never had that happen before this tiny blonde wandered into Babylon. And Brian thinks that that alone is good enough reason to stay.
