Day 21

No game. Sarra won't be pleased. She gets irritated when she has nothing to cook. I wonder how she will take to frogs instead.

Later that day: She threw them back in my face! How rude! That's the thanks I get for pulling her out of the Black God's Realm. Left in a huff. At least Broad Foot appreciated the frogs.

Day 22

Still no game. Where have all the animals gone? Sarra says my hunting skills are getting rusty. I am never one for silly sulks but I can feel a pout coming on. Left in a huff. Antlers looking droopy.

Day 23

Hurrah! A rabbit! That'll teach Sarra to douse my good reputation. Antlers looking simply ravishing.

Day 24

Daughter in trouble! Attacked by ugly looking things without eyes and mouths. Was most displeased to play tug-of-war with a gangly man to bring my own daughter to the Realm.

Daine: very welcome. Lank-boy: unwanted.

Day 25

Daughter will not stop shouting in her sleep. Keeps rambling about skinners. Badger decided to play the hero and went to handle those monsters. Stupid animal. He always steals my thunder.

Day 26

Daughter awake! Sarra in tears. I must admit underneath my thick hide, I felt a bubble of father's pride, though was a tad disappointed that Daine did not inherit my dashing antlers. It's quite a catch, after all.

Later on: Damn the lank-boy! He is taller than I am! Daughter saw it too but had the decency not to point out. I am proud.

Day 27

Stupid lank-boy. Turns out he is a mage. A mage and, Mithros it kills to say this, Daine's most important 'friend and teacher'. She pays more attention to him than to me! Don't like that man. If he looks at her in that way again I will shoot him with my arrow.

Later on: What is it with that mage? He keeps pestering me to send my daughter and him home. Have a terrible suspicion that he is planning to elope with her. Talks of war are just an excuse. Sarra is hurt by Daine's eagerness to leave. Lanky mage will have me to answer to for this! He has split my family up.

On the bright side, he did pay compliments to my antlers.

Day 28

Cannot believe a daughter of mine would have such sentimental attachments! Even now she is in a huff with me for shooting at an odd blob that trespassed through my territory. She must have got it from Sarra's side.

The mage man is still at his quest for me to send him home. Mithros, is he good at pestering. Thank Chaos for keeping the Gods busy. Otherwise I would not have the pleasure of saying, 'they are too busy fighting Uusoae to ferry mortals back home,' in my best voice and watch him squirm.

Later on: Curse Rikash for his idea about travelling to the Dragon Land. Now not only will I loose my daughter to that stubborn mage, I will also loose her to a cave of arrogant immortals.

Reluctantly drew a map for Daine and her stalker. Gave away my favourite bow and a staff for the man. As much as I resent him for stealing my daughter, if he succeeds in keeping her alive, I shall reconsider my vow of shooting him.

On the bright side, had much fun in projecting the image of lank-boy with naked females. I believe I shall miss watching him squirm.

Day 29

Daine left. Stalker left. Badger (curse his 'hero' act!) left. Broad Foot also left. Cottage suddenly feels empty. Must find Sarra. I wonder if she can make my antlers grow.
