In the room where your eyes reside

In the room where your eyes reside

Cold hard without, so warm inside

Beautiful darkness

Aching light

Deep as water, ever-changing tide.

In the room where your eyes reside

Thought it was real, but truth is I lied

No walls no ceiling

Only pillars and holes

Melting bubbling gray, amorphous maw wide.

In the room where your eyes reside

Wind is as some thing freshly died

Floor smiles

At staring clock

Toothy in gap toothed ivory tiles.

Cheshire grin mask of the denied.

In the room where your eyes reside

Windows twin gape at the outside

Blue cloudless sky, here

And straight across

Knife-cut scene change, over there.

Maelstrom of inferno, insane writhing ride.

In the room where your eyes reside

Rain softens, with sunny song side by side

Hand in hand

Toward home

Over the rainbow, may love be my guide.

In the room where your eyes reside

Everything so warm, within and outside.

This place

Where once

I cried.

A/N: Um. Don't even ask where that came from, because I really don't know. All I know is, it all started with "Floor smiles". Yup. This is my first poem ever posted on FF.net. -_- I suck at poetry, so forgive my poor attempts. Inspiration isn't always a good thing. As a wise person once said, "The black lightning bolt of DOOOOM…" Anyway… I think what I'm trying to convey is Jiro's conflicting emotions and confusion where Mitsuko and his own humanity are concerned. Sooo… yes, this could be taken as Jiro/Mitsuko. Ummm… I think that's it. Oh, yeah. Review, 'kay? ^-^ Me will wuv you forever if'n ya do. *hugz*
